I have this exact error. No matter what I do I can't get the app switched to just show the 4 icons.
For this reason I uninstalled. I'll wait a few weeks until a few more bugs have been ironed out. Then reinstall.

I think there is some misunderstandings here. My previous post was related to Make It Mine and you refer to carrier bundles. The two are not related. I use to use MIM and it was causing my springboard to crash instantly. I removed it and now all works fine. I also have my carrier AT&T theme in place and working fine because it is not related to MIM. I installed my AT&T carrer theme from Cydia and because it is a theme and not an app, there are no negative consequences.
Hope that clarifies the differences and rectifies the situation you are concerned with.

haha woops, it seems we were on two different roads. it was mentioned that make it mine had to be removed in order for springtomize to work. i use makeitmine to change my carrier name to an actual icon. so if i have to remove it in order for springtomize to not crash my SB then thatd be a real issue 🙁 . you can use a carrier theme but youd need winterboard (correct?) . hopefully were on the same page now, lol 😛

MakeItMine ceased to work with the update to 4.2.1. I deleted the app when I upgraded from 4.1 to 4.2.1, so have had no issues as reported. I did like putting images (emoji) in place of the carrier name, but all good things....
It would be nice if this app would do that. Also, if it would replace/control Dim Delay, Clock Hide and Quick Dismiss. But, as it stands, it seems quite stable. The only bug I notice is the status bar lock icon flickering on after a respring. Pretty minor, as bugs go.

Make It Mine does need to be removed for Springtomize to work...cant say it any other way. I do use Winterboard and always will...there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. My battery lasts two days easy and I do not have springboard crashes except as was mentioned earlier and I have removed the culprit.
As already stated...Make It Mine does not work anyway and has not for over 4 months. The Dev seems to have stopped managing it so it is a dead app and the only reason I had it installed was for a hopefull update. MIM is broke and dead with iOS 4.2 and higher.
Your fear of Winterboard is no longer valid and you are just torturing yourself over something that works perfectly fine and has for quite some time. Summerboard is no longer needed and most of us have turned it off long ago.
The times and opportunities are passing all of you up that are still stuck down in the pits of 4.0 and 4.1...your loss, I enjoy all the new opportunities and theme options. Kind of like using a rotary dial phone on a party line...time to move to the 21st century😀
Hi everyone 🙂 I just wanted to inform you that I'm working on a new update, sorry If i didn't answer some questions but I've been really busy in these two days.
As of now, I've already fixed:
- appswitcher icons squished together if custom number was disabled
- unable to launch apps if you disable lockscreen and a passcode was set; now you'll need to manually disable the passcode
- fixed and reimplemented "Always show battery"
I'll keep you posted.

Hi Filippo, I really appreciate your hard work - any ETA on a fix for the icon spazing issue? My 5 icons in the dock look alright but the 5x4 on SpringBoard are still way to close to each other

ive just had way too many issues with winterboard, but im glad you havent. my phone on 4.1 is working perfectly and i have no reason to update. i seem to always get unlucky when i update,something always goes wrong. "if it isnt broken dont fix it" 🙂
edit: it might be possible for filippo to add in carrier logos to springtomize, or even have the carrier name tweak work just like makeitmine. thatd be perfect!
Any one else having difficulty closing out apps from dock with springtomize? On mine the apps are too close and cant fully delete them from dock. Any fixes to this problem?

For some reason after I installed springtomize it seems to be showing me my speaker icon by my battery. I forget what tweak I installed to remove this, and I cant find an option in springtomize to remove it. Anyone know?

If i remember correctly, its a notification icon..i have notified(pro)/lockinfo installed and i think its a lockinfo thing?
Has anyone got this issue: With springtomize enabled, spotlight search (with all things search options ticked) typing runs super slow - unusable slow/the first letter you type just sits there for 5 seconds or more - i narrowed it down to the application search option, unticked it (everything else ticked), and spotlight search is back to normal speed.
If i disable springtomize, i can enable application search, and typing is still normal...

1.3 is finally out! I found the time to work on the next update, which will bring further bug fixes + compatibility adjustments with other tweaks:
- fixed 'Start with iPod' for 4.2.1
- fixed icon spacing w/ 5 icons per line in SpringBoard and inside folders, now everything is correctly spaced
- fixed a bug with SBRotator
- spotlight keyboard appearing randomly
- hide alarm icon didn't work in 4.2.1
I don't know if this will be in the next version yet, but you'll be able to theme your lockscreen battery without WinterBoard! 🙂.
As usual, I'll try to keep you updated and I'll post the instructions to build a deb for custom batteries! 🙂

Thank you! We all (speaking for all of us 🙂 ) appreciate the frequent updates. Glad you implemented the dim delay for Lockscreen, one more tweak (Lockscreen Dim Delay) I can delete.
I still have the issue of the Lockscreen status bar lock temporarily showing up upon respring. I also notice that there is a delay after a respring before I can unlock the phone (as soon as the lock in status bar disappears, I can unlock). This was present in the last iteration as well. I tried to unlock insistently before the process completed, and it sent me into SafeMode. Oops. Also, this version seems to have changed the way my respring looks. I had the Apple logo with the spinning gear before, now I get a black screen and, sometimes, a spinning gear. I'll try a reboot and see if that changes it back. Seems to work the same, just looks different.
All this is just feedback, not complaint. Thanks again for all of your hard work, and for listening to all of us ask for features!

Ok thanks, I just got lockinfo also but cant figure out how to disable that icon.
Also I see the lag your talking about with spotlight. I guess it could be springtomize

You should be able to disable the speaker(notifications) icon by turning off 'status bar icon' in lockinfo>plugins>notifications settings page..yeah, installed 1.3 springtomize, and still have the spotlight application search lag, guess its good that it's not just me, might be easier to find & fix.

quick bug I found.
with spotlight disabled, if I hit the home button when on homescreen, it brings up the keyboard like it opens spotlight and the only way to remove it is to swipe to the next page.
