Is there a list that shows Springtomize features and the different Cydia tweaks it replaces? I am assuming that I will get this at some point down the road and just wanted to know what I should remove beforehand.

the free(lite) version shows you all the features just wont let you turn most of them on but you can still see what it can do, not sure about a list but by viewing all the menus you might be able on your own to see what it would replace

I have listed HERE what has been replaced that I was using. It should at least get you started but I am sure there are far more apps that this replaces.

Enjoy:)

1.3 issue

I was unable to remove labels from dock icons using the option under "dock". Using the remove labels option under the "icons" removed all labels (dock/springboard) excluding folders. Figured i had a compatibility issue so i started uninstalling packages until i found the culprit to be Gridlock. Are anyone elses springboard app icons are still not spacing evenly from edge to edge after updating to 1.3? -tg

edit: 1.3-1 does make the icon spacing sexy! tytyty

maybe the dev will be nice and add gridlock functionality for the next update!

before the update the lockscreen battery charge didn't show up but now it won't go away.

Battery issue on my i4 as well. Always Battery Off, WP While Charging On, battery shows up over WP. Can't get it to hide.

Also had an issue where, after I upgraded, I dl'd a ringtone file from Cydia, it finished, closed Cydia and went back to Home screen, and my dock and Home Screen icon names showed up. I'd respring and they'd go back to being hidden. Very strange.

same here, sometimes respring fixes it right away. sometimes a respring 5 hours later will fix it.

Thanks filippo! Is there any way in a future update, you can put an option to hide the lock portrait option when u double click the dock? That would be cool! :)

1.3-1

Obervations
  • When charging, there is always a battery appearing on the lockscreen (on top of the wallpaper). The "WP while Charging" toggle has no effect either way. [1] [2]
  • When the app switcher is set to "Hide Inactive Icons", there is only ever 1 icon in the switcher -- which is replaced by the icon of each subsequent application launch. It's worth noting, however, that "Dim Inactive Icons" does appear to work as expected.
  • "Hide [Icon] Labels" no longer appears to take effect within FolderEnhancer folders. [@]
  • When exiting Cydia, hidden icons labels now appear on all icons. A respring is required to force them hidden again. [1] [2]

This is a fantastic idea for a tweak/app, but it didn't work very well for me. Maybe it's because I'm still using a 3GS, but as soon as I enabled ANYTHING in it and did a respring, it crashed the springboard and wouldn't stop crashing it, no matter how many times I did a respring. Unfortunately, I can't find anything in the description that says it's iPhone 4-only, but it just didn't work for me.

Also, I made sure to turn off any tweaks in WinterBoard before trying Springtomize, so I don't think it was that that was causing problems.

Once I got the app, I went through it to try and figure out what tweaks/apps it could replace and I made a list, at least of what I have. Others were asking for a list, so here's my contribution (assuming it works for you).

I'll try it again once I figure out what's going on. I'm just glad I didn't uninstall all these tweaks first! :D

Springtomize replaces (for me):

NoSpot - Eliminates the Spotlight search page
NoLockscreen - Pretty obvious what this does
No Slider - Eliminate the slider on the lockscreen (I'd forgotten I had this since I can use LockInfo to do the same thing)
No Folder Badges - Eliminates badges on folders...duh. :D
No Dock & Sb Text - Again, pretty obvious. Eliminates icon labels on springboard and dock icons.
Shrink
iPhone 4 No Page Dots
Five-Column Springboard
Five Icon Switcher - Puts 5 icons in the multitasking switcher instead of 4.
FakeClockUp
BackBoard - Saves your springboard setup.
Transparent Dock
Status Bar Battery Icon Hide (which I'd forgot I had since CleanStatus does this and more)
Transparent Status Bar

i can't get it to actually turn off the spotlight? it won't work :/

So, in the last 2 days I finally worked out a few bugs in Springtomize and almost completed the new battery customization feature. :)
this is the partial changelog for version 1.4:

Bug fixes:
- fixed icons labeling reappearing randomly
- fixed a bug which was causing SpringBoard to crash if a folder was placed in the dock
- fixed "Hide top bar" for 4.2.1
- finally fixed the wallpaper not hiding while charging even if option was disabled
- fixed "Hide Inactive apps" in switcher to actually show only multitasked apps

New:
- battery themeing
- 5 rows in SpringBoard
- status bar color also applies inside apps

In the meantime, I posted a little how-to for making custom battery packages for Springtomize! :) You can find it here: http://filippobiga.tumblr.com/post/4213434642/springtomize-custom-battery-package-how-to

Awesome, can't wait. :)

Quick question though, will hiding icons within Folder Enhancer folders be once again supported or is that something that is unlikely to be re-added?

On a semi-related note, an interesting feature (imho) would be to have the ability to modify/edit the clock in the status bar. For example, if I wanted to change the delimiter from : to |, etc. Possibly, supporting NSDateFormatter/setDateFormat formatting (ie. hh|MM YY/mm/dd).

Well.. Springtomize made my phone extremely unresponsive. This might be due to all the tweaks that it replaces that I already had installed. I had to constantly respring...

I will use it again when I get a new jailbreak... 4.3.1 anyone?
