A Verizon guy told me that Verizon rents towers to Sprint, and they limit the capabilities, as well as how much mobile data Sprint users can use.
Sprint rents the towers for roaming when you are off network.

Is it even physically possible to download 2 GB/ mo at those speeds?
unless you plan on using the internet for only email and getting siri to tell you she can't connect to the network. If you want speed, honestly go to att. I had them and it was awesome. the only reason i switched was because I don't use the net outside enough to justify the 15 dollar a month price difference. If that wasn't the issue, then i would have kept att. But hey I'm cheap
Lol you really think Netflix would even buffer at those Lowe speeds. I barely go over 600MB data per month 2GB may not seem like a lot but it's plenty sufficient when you're off Wifi

I just did a Speedtest and got .25, not one of my better results for sure. However I was still able to stream Netflix without a problem. That surprised me.
Seriously !
I never believed in CDMA
Never will
AT&T is great except in the major cities like SF and NYC where it'll SHOW you 4-5 bars and you literally can't make a call (goes straight to vm) and the internet won't load at all - thanks AT&T. You suck.
Not to say my sprint doesn't suck right now but I just got a replacement phone from apple and now my speed is .6 to 1.3 so it's definitely very usable!
I thought Sprint users roam on Verizon if they exit Sprint coverage but the area is covered by Verizon?A Verizon guy told me that Verizon rents towers to Sprint, and they limit the capabilities, as well as how much mobile data Sprint users can use.

Don't you remember that many years ago it actually was the better implemented technology? Back in the day when there was TDMA and GSM was on the horizon?

Step away from the W-CDMA technology that your precious AT&T iPhone uses.

I finally got rid of AT&T and moved to 4s on Verizon in houston. The speed tests show anywhere from 0.5-1.5 Mbps but regardless I have no actual real world problems whatever the speed be. I am in downtown Houston nd work in the mes center and speed for this fone is spankin fast. Browsing Facebook , CNn, huff post etc no problems , it is fast. I have no issues with Siri either. It works! Compared to my previous 3GS on AT&T , wow the 4s on verizon, now it feels I have a new 21 year old mistress ready to go toki toki boom boom....
No. I've been trying for over a year on my EVO 4G and never managed to top 1.5GBs /mo. :|
Just going to point this out to to you but TDMA is GSM. GSM 3G is WCDMA.
GSM is just an international standards for cell phone signal that is to be used.
You are using the term GSM incorrectly.
"Goes straight to vm".....you do realize your phone MADE THE FREAKING CALL!!! it went to THEIR voicemail...that means it connected to the FREAKING NETWORK and successfully MADE THE CALL...LOL
