I was expecting something more drastic. This doesn't really undercut T-Mobile's pricing. It just tosses in more LTE data, but to be honest, T-Mobile's discount plans probably already offer enough...

No thanks!

Ill take my T Mobile line for $40 a month. Includes everything unlimited and JUMP. Sister in law works for T Mobile. Feel sorry for all of you that pay anywhere near $100 a month.

SPRINT HAS GREAT SERVICE (in Muncie, IN)

Let me start off by saying that Sprint does have good service areas. For those that spend the majority of their time in one place and do not travel much, if you've got good Sprint service it's totally worth it.

I don't know what the numbers below mean, but hopefully it means fast. Haha. All I know is I stream Netflix/YouTube/movie trailers/porn all the time and don't have buffering issues. I'm over 7GB of data this period and the numbers are below. (Can someone explain what they mean?) Last month I hit 19 GB of data (my highest so far) and still didn't have any data problems.

What I never understand is that I moved from Philadelphia (NO LTE) to the little town I live in of Muncie, IN and it has LTE....I'm not complaining now. I save a ton of money and have great service.

Data "heavy"?

LOL - I get unlimited data, PRE-paid for £12 a month.

You guys are getting milked, stateside.

Why do wireless packages have to be so expensive....seems like if you have a smartphone, no matter what...you can't find a reasonable plan costing less than $60 a month, and that's if you chop off unlimited messaging and use the lowest data plan available.

Even then, it's too expensive for me.

I decided to pay out my contract with AT&T and terminate.

Right now I don't have a cell phone. It's just too expensive.

I'm not paying $1200/year for cell service!
Try looking into prepaid like AT&T GoPhone or subdivisions like MetroPCS, Cricket.

Not letting your existing customers switch to the cheaper plan is a bad move IMO. If I were a Sprint customer that would irritate me. I believe all the other carriers will let you switch plans even if you are already under contract.

The fact that these promotions are not for existing customers is:
1) A slap in the face to their long-suffering existing customers
2) An indication that the promotion is a temporary smoke-and-mirrors affair and all the prices will go up in due course.

I think Sprint needs to upgrade its network and sort out its ridiculous phone locking policy BEFORE trying to attract new customers with discounts.

Sprint network speeds are horrible.
Still 2 year contract. No thanks.
No word on tethering, hotspot.
Screwed their existing customers.

No thanks. I have had faster speeds on Verizon 3G than Sprints LTE. I don't understand why anyone would stay with sprint.

I wish the carriers would spend less time offering high-end "deals" to separate customers from thousands of dollars annually, and offer some packages designed for people who don't want unlimited talk time and hundreds of gigabytes of data per year on multiple phones.
None of the carriers offer great deals to single-line subscribers. We are their biggest profit center. Only multi-line subscribers get deals.

This is great! Now if you could just USE more than 1 GB/month then this would be worth it. My 2 years with Sprint never saw speeds faster than .02 Mbps on 3G and 3 Mbps on LTE. Not to mention they refuse to unlock their phones no matter what. I had to hack my 4S and my 5 and sell them to T-Mobile subscribers since I couldn't sell the phones for more than $75 if they were locked to Sprint. Nobody wants them! Never again. T-Mobile is going to be the powerhouse in another year or 3.

Edit: You're signing a 2 year contract to August 2016 and these prices are only through 2015... How much does it go up per line?? Yeah, nice try, Sprint. What a joke!

$100 + $15/line (with Easy Pay) + Easy Pay Payment (iPhone 5s is $27.09/month)

OR

$100 + $40/line (subsidized, no Easy Pay)

So for a family of 4 getting 20GB on Easy Pay that would be $268.36 or $67.09 per person per month. For a family of 4 with subsidized phones, it would be $260 ($100+$40/line) or $65 per person. Plus all the taxes and what not. Not terrible, but not super mind blowing either.

Very helpful... Thanks

i wish AT&T actually cared about this type of competition. i have "unlimited" data but they throttle me to HALF of 1 mbit when i go over 4 gigs. makes it completely unusable for things like spotify.

Not sure how much data you use, but we moved from 2 unlimited phones to the 10gb plan. No throttle. Saved $1000 a year.

Hidden costs galore in Sprint's offer. For starters, once the device access fee waiver expires after next year, the cost goes back up to $160/month for four devices. Nothing mentioned about a contract, but if it requires a two-year contract, then this offer is a non-starter as far as I'm concerned.

Aside from their spotty network coverage in a lot of areas, Sprint's draconian device lockdown policies remain their biggest downside. They can try to match or one-up T-Mobile's plan prices and waive the per device access fees through 2015, but Sprint will still lock your device to their network. You can't bring your old phone in, and you can't use your Sprint phone with a different carrier if/when you leave.

Not going to buy a new phone just to switch to Sprint.

With T-Mobile, I can bring in an unlocked phone, pop in a SIM card, and I'm good to go. Same goes with AT&T. If I have a Verizon phone, I can use it on their network, or I can use that phone on AT&T or T-Mobile or any GSM carrier.

Any phone made after Jan 2015 will be unlockable and can work on any carrier I believe according to new regulations. Probably makes sense to wait to buy the 6s then if thats the case.
