Sprint online order status
The online order status is a bit ambiguous. On the one hand, they say to keep an eye out for an email with shipping information. On the other hand, they say keep checking the status page for the "latest" shipping information.
I kind of just wish they'd be more honest and say, "Forget about it for a while. We both know that continuously checking for updates is a waste of time, and it definitely won't help your order arrive any faster."

Just walked into the Apple Store in San Diego. No online order or anything. Walked out with a Sprint gold 32 gigger.

Just kidding! No seriously, that's crazy lucky about walking in and out with one like that. And congrats on the (relatively) early deliveries of the others! Has there been a delivery of a gold 5S ordered from Sprint online? Maybe just one mentioned before?

Congrats indeed. Been waiting for 11 days and losing patience. The wait and playing with friends slate grey is making me underwhelmed by the 5s. Considering staying with my flawless silver and white iPhone 5 more and more every day.
Hey, terryh! I went back to check your earlier post and yours is the ONLY order made on sprint.com that I've seen reports of coming through.
My guess is there was an initial small batch that they sold in the first few minutes. Since then, I have no idea (but would love to know) whether Sprint receives a trickle of phones to sell or is waiting on some huge second wave (otherwise why the switch from a few weeks to the pervasive "4-6 weeks" and now "8 weeks"?). Maybe it's a trickle and they figure they'll just make people happy if it comes before 4-6 weeks.

Don't forget to check Apple stores in your area - I was looking at inventory via the pick up in the store option and there was stock for 32gb gold in NYC - where she lives
Thanks! I actually wasn't eligible for my phone upgrade until today, so I was pretty lucky. I stopped by Best Buy first to no avail, then I realized the Apple Store was nearby, so I thought why not? For some reason, I felt the odds were on my side because it's in the Fashion Valley mall in SD. To put it lightly, I can't afford to buy clothes there regularly...

I was getting discouraged because non-Sprint store I went to (Best Buy, Radioshack) would tell me, "Oh we don't get a lot of Sprint ones." Lo and behold, it was my lucky day! I mean, it wasn't even available for in-store pick-up on Apple's website.
For those that ordered on Sprint.com, have you been charged yet? I already got charged and have a 4-6 week wait...
Yes, I received a bill within days of the order. The bill wasn't itemized to list the enormous extra amount that was allegedly CA taxes. I also didn't see the AppleCare that I requested repeatedly. Sprint told me that service billing doesn't start until the iPhone ships.
Of course, I'd prefer service billing to start when I activate the iPhone, although the tech guy (not customer service) said that the iPhone would ship activated. Yikes! I sure hope not, but what's the point of pursuing? Just a frustrating experience, worse than my first iPhone contract with AT&T, a humbling endeavor which I thought would be hard to surpass. I will never buy from a carrier again, even though I'm eligible for an employee discount from Sprint (that's another debacle altogether).

I think its better to use the apple.com site or apple app on iphone. All these carriers websites seem to crash too much my experience and apple rather give themselves a better supply of course than other companies. I also rather wait for a few days then wait in a line all pissed off cause i am not getting the color i want.
Just managed to snag a 64g gold Sprint 5S from one of my local Best Buys. I had ordered one through my local Sprint store (10am on 9/20) that still didn't have an ETA let alone a ship date, but my 4S battery was starting to really fail, so I looked at "in-store pickup" on bestbuy.com. It showed a silver 64g model nearby, and when I went to snag it, they let me know that there was a 64g gold as well that had "been there since Monday." It was SUPER easy to cancel my order through the Sprint store, and it freed up my upgrade instantaneously. I consider myself extremely lucky considering the rarity of these things. The two Apple stores in my city were out of Sprint 5Ss all-together today and my Sprint reps quite literally laughed at me when I asked about future supply.
Well mine was ordered through an authorized retailer (NextStar Comm) and who knows when I'll receive it. Also, they are unable to cancel the order so my hands are tied until it gets here. Needless to say, I'm pissed.
I am looking for phone which has all the features a phone can possibly have till date. All the high end configurations available in the present market. There is no cost barrier. It should be the costliest phone in terms of technical aspects and not be made of gold, studded with diamonds etc.... A pure, incredible, technical specimen phone which the present man can imagine.

I've seen several people in this forum who received the 4 - 6 week range also say they recently received either their phone or shipping notification. So that's a good sign. Better some people getting theirs than none!

My gold 16 GB that I ordered through sprint.com Will be arriving today UPS.
I've basically ordered at midnight September 20, so I was one of the first to order on sprints website, so they are shipping earlier than 4 to 6 weeks for us. Thank goodness.
