Anyone still using the Sprint network and upgrading to one of the 12s?

We are trying the priority status upgrade via the app and plan to do trade ins using our old Sprint iphones.

Any major drawbacks to not fully migrating to T-Mobile?

Will the phones be different still?

Yeah, I upgraded with priority through sprint this morning. I still had my 11 pro max on lease and will be returning it. I had some issues this year. I ended up having to pay a down payment on the phone although I have a plan through sprint where I pay a little extra every month but can upgrade to the new iphone every year. I've never had to pay a down payment before. It seems that whole program has been wiped because it was a part of the monthly payment options. I never saw an option to fully migrate to t-mobile but I wonder if that would've helped.

We did two this morning after doing the priority reservation. Took a minute to get the second one going. On a 256gb Pro, the down payment was $99 plus the tax, but after trade in and loyalty credits, the phone was/will be $12 and change a month. Not bad at all.

Note - each had to be processed separately even though it looks like you can continue shopping and do the second.

No ship date yet. When I check the order number on the Sprint site it says "Pending." Someone posted in the Tmobile thread many Sprint models are listed as being delayed possibly until mid-November

I did the priority reservation for a 128 GB 12 Pro. Completed the order this morning. Just received an email that the phone is supposed to ship between 11/03/2020-11/09/2020. Hope this is a conservative estimate :|

I got the same, I did the priority reservation on Tuesday evening. Completed checkout at 8:20. The second email about being backordered is normal, but in the past they didn’t give an expected ship by date.

I was able to get mine this morning, it was easier to do it on my computer than the app on the phone. Pacific Blue 12 Pro 256Gb. And yes the ship dates appeared to have slipped.

Email from Sprint matches the chart for the Pro 256gb. Ships by 11/10-16

I was a bit surprised in this whole process that Sprint was still not completely integrated into Tmobile. I thought a new phone transaction of this scale would be the lead-in to just being the Tmobile brand, plans and network. What we are all finding is it is still Sprint, has a different preorder process, different credits application, different network just with roaming on Tmobile included. I'm curious if other carriers have as many shipments pushed out as Sprint.

I also was surprised that Sprint hadn't been ready to switch us to TMobile at this seemingly golden opportunity.

Today, for the 12pro 256, I got $500 for my fully owned XS 256, plus $10 per month (loyalty?) credit, for a very attractive $6.67 per month (times 30 months plus $99 up front). Ultimate cost of the device: $300 (vs $870 including the trade-in credit, vs $1099 list.)

The problem is Sprint Complete, which adds $19.99 per month, which makes for a ridiculous formula: $6.67 each month for the device, 3X that to protect it.

Still, Sprint Complete is a good program that I've made use of several times in the past and it gives me a sense of security, so I went for it.

Estimated delivery (I was on the Priority Status pre-order program) 11/10-11/16. Anyone seeing earlier deliveries from Sprint for the 12P 256 in blue?

I ordered the 12 Pro 256 in Blue using Sprint's app for their priority program. Completed the process this morning at 9:30am. I got an email saying my delivery window at first was 11/3-11/6. Then I got an email saying it was now backordered and the new date was 11/10-11/16.

Typical. I completed my order at 8:12 a.m. EDT. Initial delivery estimate said 11/10-11/16. I'm almost afraid to look now. :) UPDATE: Now it says 11/10-11/17. Here we go.

Now it's delayed to Nov. 17 to 24. How is this possible, from an inventory management perspective? Did Sprint suddenly discover a couple of hundred or thousand orders that snuck in before my "priority" order at 8:12 a.m. EDT yesterday?

Was there anything better about the Sprint deal vs doing the Apple deal?

30month terms scared me away from Sprint. Went with Apple Promo instead but undecided on 2nd line

Apple Trade In Promo:
- Trade-in iPhone8 or higher - Refunded to original payment method
- $150 Bonus Credit - Sent in form of gift credit card
- Unlocked - Sprint is locked until half of payments so thats 18mo
- Better delivery dates - Local appointment pickup on Oct23
- No Sprint Reps! <— The biggest benefit

Apple Trade in Value + $150 Bonus Credit

I set up one of our devices to trade in with Apple (old iPhone 8 for $290 isnt bad) but I am now considering trading my personal phone and I’m contemplating the Sprint deal because $300 for an iPhone 7 is insane. I just dont know if I’m able to pay off early and still get the discount.

My calculation was that I'd save $130 over the course of the 30 months and that Sprint would send me a properly configured phone relatively promptly. (The last time I ordered a Sprint phone from Apple, someone at Apple messed up the configuration big-time and it took several days and way too much effort to straighten out.)

Now, I am starting to regret that. I'm going to pop back into Apple and re-calculate the deal and delivery date. If it's favorable, I'll order there and cancel the Sprint order.

Update: I cancelled the order through Sprint, a laborious process that required more than an hour. I reordered directly from Apple. Delivery 11/9-16, which is sooner than Sprint and, imo, a more reliable delivery estimate. Never did see anything about $150 bonus credit.

Hello -

I ordered a Sprint activated phone through Apple.

I received the following (scary) email this morning:

We’re having trouble processing your order.
Order Number:
Ordered On October 16, 2020
To help resolve this issue, contact your wireless carrier. In the meantime, we’ll attempt to process your order over the next 4 days and, if we’re still unsuccessful, your order will be canceled.

I chatted with Apple and they said to disregard.. I’m still on track for 10/23 delivery. I’m still chatting with Sprint (which is slow) but am not confident in Sprint even knowing what to do with this...

Anyone else receive anything like this now or in the past?

Ouch. That is truly frightening, particularly when it comes to dealing with Sprint about something like that from Apple. Please keep us looped.

Sprint says:
Well in that case Apple team can help you.
We do not have the details if pre-order are open directly from Apple.
If you want, you can pre-order iPhone 12 or 12 Pro from your Sprint account or Sprint App and then you will get the estimated date for shipping since pre-order are open with Sprint for these devices

Apple says:
Kindly disregard that.

I’m just going to believe Apple and cross my fingers I see my order status stay “healthy”. Hopefully it was a fluke. I knew Sprint wouldn’t have a clue about an email from Apple.

It seems like you get a code and punch it in the website for your $150 card. I haven’t received my code yet but for some reason I trust Apple and T-mo more than Sprint. 😅 (I’m still pretty nervous about Sprint trying to change my plan but in buying the phone then it seems like it should come activated and I wont have to call Sprint CS)

(Sorry for the ultra wide text clip)

Well I just cancelled my order with Sprint. It only took about 15 minutes. I had gotten an update on delivery and the date was Nov. 17-24. So I opted to go with Apple as I can pick it up on Oct 25th. I will be gone on vacation up until the 25th - otherwise I could have picked it up on Oct. 23rd.

As of this morning, my order went from 10/24-11/2 to 11/3-11/9. Graphite Pro 128

I got a much better deal through Sprint. $415 for my iPhone X plus $200 loyalty credit. This applied to two purchases So $1230

My understanding is the priority reservation determines your spot. My reservation was Tuesday evening, and I completed checkout after you. My date is 11/3-11/10.
