Question About Porting Number from AT&T

Anyone know the answer to this??

I'm porting my number from AT&T...once my new Sprint iPhone 5 arrives, can I just turn the phone on and activate it or do I need to call/go online to complete the activation/port process?

Nice! Does it say on the outside of the box what GB it is . . . 16GB, 32GB, etc?

I'm on the sofa with the front door open waiting! I even put a steak knife by the front door so I can open the box and make sure there are 3 phones in there before UPS can run off!

I'm doing the same. But I've ported before. It's pretty simple. You may have to get on the horn with Sprint but its painless.

Have you tried tracking your package on the UPS site using your account number as the reference number?

I tried but nothing came up for me by using the home number used on the account and the cell number that would eventually be used on the iphone. Maybe it is because I am a new customer signing up.

If you signed up for paperless billing when your pre-ordered, you should have received a confirmation email the next day. In that email is your account number...BAN#XXXXXXXXX

Go to UPS.com, click tracking, then click "Track by Reference" and type you account number in the shipment reference field...leave everything else as is and click "Track"

Well it shows the size on back of iPhone box like all pervious iPhone models

I was sitting waiting for him and he couldn't even finish second nock before I opened door I'm sure he thought I'm Freak but W/E 😀

Yesterday, mine worked 7 hours before I received tracking numbers from Sprint...and if you look back through the thread, a lot of others were able to as well...so that's why people keep saying it 🙂

Had an idea with al these scuff marks and dings and stuff that Im going to do. BEFORE I open it or even tear off the plastic OR EVEN open the shipping box, Im going to bust out my Sony NEX-5 and film it being opened and inspected. That way, when I go to the Apple store for exchange, they cant pin negligence on me.

Im sharing this because Im sure by the end of the day Apple will be well aware of it and trickle down notices internally to 'deny, deny, deny" just like they did with the 4 and its reception issues.

I just drove by one of the Sprint store on my way to work this morning and there was a good size line outside and i think in my head while laughing "thank god i made the preorder"

My white 64gb is flawless. No scuffs, dings, scratches, etc! Just waiting for it to activate. I called it in around 2pm because the online page was telling me it didn't recognize the IMEI number. Successfully activated over the phone, but that told me that there would be about an hour wait before data kicked in. Given how many phones are being activated, I'm betting on longer. So I'm patiently doing all the set up on Wifi at the moment.

Actually, for me it worked quite well. I got a tracking number well before sprint ever updated online or mailed me anything. Perhaps it is hit or miss; but, it does work for some.

Keep up the hope if you never got a shipping confirmation or anything from Sprint... I even talked to a customer rep this morning, and all she could tell me is that it is still ordered and should be here within 2 weeks of my order date. I complained about the 2 weeks, and she came back and let me know thta is standard talk track

Low and behold, UPS just dropped my new phone off! I have a UPS Account and all, and that never even informed me of the shipment which is very odd. IT has always been great about that...
