Got my phone now dealing with activating. I think has to do because I have a sero plan and never had the extra 4g plan for $10 more a month taking a while. Good news my black phone isn't scuffed like others. On another note I don't like mini charge wire seems like it can break in the phone and wire so exposed makes me wonder how long the contacts on it will last.

You're not alone. Sprint's clearly overwhelmed with activations. Call the customer service line and follow the menu steps to activate it. Then you have to wait. I'm at an hour post activation without activation. You can still set it up using wifi during the wait period
 
Update: I did UPS chat about my delivery date changing from 9/21 to 9/24 on their website. He assured me it's on a truck out for delivery and I will get it by tonight. I hope he's right.

Although it pulls from the official site, I've had different results with this site. Paste your tracking number in at packagetrackr.com, it's my tracker of choice. Maybe you'll get different results. :apple:
 
Is anyone else having difficulties activating their phone? I tried the online one first several times, and then I tried calling and nada! Anyone have any better alternatives?

they are probably just being bombarded with activations right now. sure it will become easier when it slows down a bit
 
UPS approx delivery time is going into the 3rd hour
hopefully i get it before i have to go to sleep cause i work the grave shift
 
Except when it doesn't work. It took about 45 minutes for my phone to get activated when I was on the phone with them. Phone calls work but no SMS/data yet.

This is where I am about 2 hours in. Data has been taken away from my old phone though so maybe that's a good sign. I'm figuring I'll drop by a Sprint store after I go out to dinner if there isn't data on it yet.
 
reset all settings and delete all daata. shut phone off and call sprint.

I was having a problem earlier this morning and this ended up working for me. I had to call because online was not recoginizing the IMEI number. While on the phone with the rep we erased all contents and then it activated after about 20 minutes.
 
If this is half as hard as it was last year then I will be happy. Last year I cheated and used my sister's upgrade and then had to spend 3 hours on the phone with Sprint while they ported the line over to my phone (because I had to order through apple.com and they only let you order if you are eligible for an upgrade, so the phone was under her account). This year I had an upgrade, so hopefully this is fast and painless.
 
Google Voice Port-In problems

Hey guys, just posting this for others who might have the same issue.

I read about issues porting a Google Voice number into Sprint on several forums. To be safe, I called them after I ordered the phone to see if I could provide them with any information / make the process easier. They told me it would be no problem.

Today, the iPhone came in just before 3pm, and I spent over an hour on the phone with Sprint.

The rep told me: "Because this is a landline, this phone will not be activated until the 22nd. You must turn your phone off before midnight central time tonight and wait. Then, after midnight central time has passed, please turn your phone back on. You can then follow activation instructions and will receive a text message from Sprint verifying this."

It's been really tough understanding these reps, very thick accents on top of some of the worst quality connections I've heard in a call center in a long while.

Anyway ... your mileage may vary. Love the phone ... feels so light it's unreal, like holding a magic leaf or something, LOL ... :D
 
I don't even have an approximate delivery time. But UPS always comes late around here. So I'm not worried. I just want it :D
