Exactly...

I would rather have 20 down 5 up unlimited then have 40down 10up capped at 5g.. If it was unlimited then fine, all those on grandfathered plans are lucky but for the rest of us that want to upgrade every year and keep our unlimited lte with out buying the phone outright sprint is just fine..
Exactly!

And Verizon/AT&T throttles unlimited data at a certain point. Sprint does not. At least not yet anyway.

Three more days and the Everything Data plans are history. Let's see how long Sprint allows up to keep the plans without forcing an upgrade to the My Way and All In plans.

This is exactly true. Someone tell me they actually need a handheld device that goes faster then 25 Mbps down and 5 or 6 up. You don't ... Then add in the fact that the data is truly UNLIMITED ... I'll admit there was a time before the LTE towers got switched on that I was contemplating leaving Sprint, but now that I've got my LTE why would I? I made it through the rough times

This is where the throttling could happen. I hope not, but for now we will continue enjoying our completely unlimited LTE data and let everyone else be mind boggled.

WhAt good is it when sprint overloads the network and it all slows down LTE just launched here and it was fast now it's 3G speeds but out our more rural towns it's fine. It's basically what works for you and I'm in a lot of brick buildings and sprint is pathetic in that area and Verizon has been a dream. I get 6gb a month to share with a buddy who uses 500mb to 1gb and never more. We have wifi at home and when we need it it just works.

If your happy with what you have then great if not just switch and move on ;)

It's sad to be honest. I've been on my phone for the past month that's about 5 years old, waiting for my 5S to come in. Pretty sure it doesn't even allow for 3G connectivity, just Edge. There are times where I'm not even at full bars on Edge. That's a problem.

Sprint vs T-Mobile comparison: anyone have any experience? I hear rumors that T-Mobile is 2X as fast with LTE (in select markets of course) with unlimited everything and half the price of Sprint. True?

That's exactly why I switched from AT&T to T-Mobile and never considered Sprint. T-Mobile's LTE service is quite good where I live (I've seen speeds here up to 40 Mbps), whereas friends I have here locally with Sprint have had mixed experiences at best. Throw in the lack of 2 year contracts with T-Mobile and it was plenty enough to convince me to switch. I haven't regretted it a bit.

T-Mo again depends on where you live. In the Chicagoland area T-Mo is not the best by a long shot. When it works it's great, but most times it doesn't and it's 2013 and I should not still be seeing Edge on my phones.

Yes you're right, that's why I specified by saying that's in my area. T-Mobile is much better than Sprint where I live and work, but that obviously isn't the case everywhere. There are also areas where AT&T and Verizon are lousy too, it all depends on where you live regardless of the carrier.

on September 30, 2013 I ported my 2 numbers to AT&T. Here in Miami AT&T and Verizon provide the best LTE coverage. I had been with Sprint for 12 years. Let me tell you the difference is like night and day. Data is 40+ faster. Mind you I had the 5 and even the 5s on sprint that I returned before making the switch. I did pick up sprint LTE around Miami but its still spotty/not consistent/not reliable. Glad I switched to AT&T :)

Yes, this old argument. It's a valid argument - for your area. My area has been enjoying reasonable speeds on LTE. Again, seek out what works best for you. In my case, Sprint got better and it works for me.

Why would I leave if it's working and it's reasonable even if that's not the case anywhere else?

Sprint doesn't have EDGE; that's GSM I believe. That aside, why would your 5s not have 3G?

My iPhone 5 has 3G. If it didn't my story with Sprint would be vastly different.

Call me crazy, but I kind of like the idea of fast LTE combined with Unlimited, unthrottled data.

And the worst coverage/service...have fun with that.

----------

Ok... Let me unboggle your mind for you. I've been with Sprint since 2004. I had to wait forever for the iPhone. It finally came and I got it... The 3G speeds were terrible, but hey it's unlimited ... Truly unlimited data... Then there were broken promises. .. Plenty of them, but I have stuck around this long. Why would I leave when I'm getting this:

I'm not saying it's the greatest speeds. I'm not even saying that AT&T doesn't have better speeds. I know they do, but my data is truly unlimited and at 25 Mbps down I can handle having Sprint.

It honestly boggles my mind as to why someone's mind would be boggled over what someone else does ... That's truly mind boggling

Because Sprint is garbage and has terrible coverage and service. I never have a problem with going over my data. That's all you Sprint people have going for you, unlimited data. But who cares when people are mostly on wi-fi anyway. I'll gladly keep my 50 Mbps LTE speeds and excellent coverage instead of unlimited data.

Stop being cheap and upgrade to a good carrier.

Unless we live in the same area you can't tell me what works for me. Then again maybe you know something we don't

How many times does it need to be said?

Sprint is awful. If you are spending good money to get yourself a smartphone, why subject yourself to a bottom-rate service provider?

My contract has FINALLY ended with them, which I mistakenly entered into with my 4S. Never, never again. The whole unlimited thing is a total scam - it's impossible to exceed limits if you can't reach them in the first place!

Wow I don't need you calling me names. It's a damn cell phone provider and we are talking over the Internet. You do not know me or will you ever know me, but I don't need you saying I'm cheap because of the cell phone provider I'm with. So what. I don't care if you are with AT&T or Verizon. It doesn't matter to me ... My LTE speeds are fine with me and it's not a matter of being cheap.

I never once said you were anything ... You don't have to resort to childish behavior.

Do you live where I live? If you don't and you don't have Sprint where I live then don't knock it. I have great coverage and I'm getting 15mbps down. Not anywhere near your speeds, but good enough for me.

I can reach all the limits I want with LTE. With a 4s you're right. Your speeds are horrible, but with a LTE capable device speeds are respectable.

I'll say it again I'm not a Sprint apologist. I've been with them for a long time for convenience. I know there not the greatest.. Never claimed they were ...

These speeds are respectable:

I don't know. How many times do you feel you need to say it before my good service and coverage where I live goes to crap in order to justify your opinion?

The fact that Sprint is garbage in other places, particularly on 3G is not something I've ever argued against if you've ever read any of my posts here. But that doesn't mean that because you say it my quite useable LTE speeds are all of a sudden crap.

How many times do I have to tell people such as yourself that where I am Sprint is just fine and quite useable?

LOL! Well, if they want to pay my cell phone bill they can. Personally, I don't think $186+ dollars a month for two iPhone 5's (fives, plural, not the 5 "S"), unlimited data and an Airave on the third line (free by the way) with a 2GB hotspot for my iPhone 5 is cheap. But hey…whatever.

I didn't think it was so cheap either, but hey who am I? It's honestly amazing what some people will say or do on the Internet!

They need to go talk to the guys on SERO plans. iPhone 5s and 5s's with unlimited data family lines still at $35 to $40 a month because they've managed to work the plans for 10+ years or so.

Claims he's not a Sprint apologist, then responds to 6 different threads boasting about his alleged speed and coverage on Sprint.

Okay. We get it. There's one satisfied Sprint customer out there. And coverage in your neighborhood is great. How many times do you have to act like your singular case example defies the well-established reputation of Sprint being the "el cheapo" of mobile providers?

Moving along...

I have been a Sprint customer since my first phone and have always hated it compared to others. That being said, they have closed the gap the past few years. Sure the data speeds and service isn't quite the best, but most of the time, I get by.

Really, the only thing that makes me want to jump ship (after 20 months due to my family plan and new 5s :p) is the inability to have domestically unlocked phones. Really kills the resale value. Finally got a bite at $300 on my flawless, 5 month old 5 and the deal hasn't even gone through.
