They changed their "photos"

Hey a new rendering is up. This time at least their background plate is a photo. A little tip for spymac.vom.... USE HIGH RESOLUTION TEXTURES. That way, everything won't look like ****! And lower your bump map on the cover, and try using a specular map...it helps add to the realism. Also, I like how the iWalk is giving off different shadows than everything else in the scene. What a scam of a site!

Sorry, I was out of town for the weekend, and wasn't about to access the web at 14.4... does anyone happen to have the old "bathroom" pics of this doodad in their cache that they can post somewhere?

I'd also like to point out that when the first images of the Cube were leaked, they got the same "God, what a horrible render!" treatment... you never know...

Corrent, Why Dell?? and also, why has it got an old Apple Keyboard, surely every Mac in apple would have a Pro Keyboard. Also look at the size compare with the space bar, it is tiny, the small buttons must be only half a cm or 1/4 of an inch accross.

I did a search on Slashdot just now for apple stuff. CmdrTaco has posted an article (this morning) with iWalk and PDA in the title. It hasn't been released to the site yet, but (apparently due to a bug) it showed up in the search.

Looks like this might be the real thing...

Looks like he /was/ commenting on a fake. The reason I suspected it was real was that it was posted at 9:30 and wasn't on the site. It was just buggy Slashcode instead. I figured there was an NDA that expired at, say noon, or whenever the press release went out.

The disign looks like a 3 years old Minidisk Player - nat Apple design at all -
Who would make a 2 panels PDA today ????

And if you look a the picture, there is a pack of Marlboro, and I don't think that today you will find ONE pack of cigaretes in the Apple Campus, as it is a NON SMOKING zone.....

And the Apple on the device is not centered .....

Seriously though, is it just me? How long do we have to wait for this announcement ! i hope the earth shakes today with something kick-ass from Apple. if anyone has the ability to do it, it's Apple. historically they innovate like no one else.

anything resembling a pda = joyous, even if only a component of a larger device.

I have to say, it would be an amazing hoax if they didn't announce anything. I haven't seen this kind of frenzy since the amazing, world-saving invention 'ginger'.
Whatever happened to that? I haven't been saved yet.

I'm going to guess here, too, that the product will be announced today but not available for several months, like the iMac. Thus we've got several long months of intense speculation (and possibly gadget desire) to look forward to. Thanks Apple, I used to get work done, you know...
