This is what I have on my spanking new X25-M 80GB freshly installed and with all the data restored (about 50GB free space for now) Yeeeeha loving it!! Botting in 30 secs instead of 1min45 before, everything loads right away, it's a pleasure to use!

Ok so little update, just about 3 weeks into having the drive, and just ran a Xbench to see how my drive is doing, and I must say, it's not looking to good. It's only 10 points lower than it was on the first day, but still, I don't want the drive to end up being a dud after a few months.

So I requested an RMA and am planning on returning it, and getting the OWC Mercury Extreme Pro or the Intel X25-M, can't really decide. Only about $50 dollars more and WAY faster and much more reliable over time and possible degrading.

Corsair V128 - 3 weeks in:

Current status with a disk that is becoming pretty full, still love the drive

Here is one last benchmark with a C300 Firmware V 2.0 and no applications running in the background.

I am really happy my speed issue has been resolved from before

Those are awesome results. I just ordered the 120GB version of that drive, so hopefully the 7% compared to 28% over-provisioning doesn't affect performance too much. Are those brand new results or after you've had the drive for a while?

I'm hoping that people check in after 6 months and a year to see how the performance looks then. The results for most SSD's look fantastic on day-- what I would like to know is how well they age.

Just received my OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 120, and here are the results after transferring all my files over.

EDIT: Something can't be right. Second photo is the result of xBench about 6 hours in...not looking good. I ran the test about 10 times over the past two hours, and none of them were even close to 300 like the first test.

The drive flies, but I seem to have had a massive drop in battery life. (Like cut in half.) I'm not sure if it's caused by the drive, but nothing else obvious has changed.

In grab how are you guys converting the images to jpeg so they can be posted? This forum doesn't accept TIFFs which is what Grab creates.

I just got my OWC 200 Pro RE SSD and I'll post numbers once I've got it up and running

Hmmm...

Really happy with the speed of the new drive. 30 sec boot time is awesome. CS5 runs like never before. Late 2008 MBP 2.53GHZ 4GB ram 512MB 9600m GT. My most frequent Xbench results are in the high 230's to low 240's. The first results after installing the drive were 220.

But my results seem a lot lower than others with the X25-m 80gb g2..... should I be worried?

Specifically the 4k reads seam rather low usually bouncing between 9-13 mb/s.

I figure now I'll just use it, I like the new experience. If it goes bad i send it back. IS that the right thing to do?

My best results yet after using the system for a few hours.
