Why would they owe us anything? We bought the thing knowing that the window for delivery was 5/13-5/27 or later. It was our choice to wait. Apple owe us nothing. Watch the hockey game and relax.

I agree.

My only quibble is that "pre-order" meant nothing, since almost zero were available on April 24. What does "pre-order" mean if there is nothing available in-store for the after pre-order period? And 2 weeks later, we are finally seeing all models shipping. They just set timeframe expectations way too unrealistically.

If they said that orders begin online on April 10, but shipments will take 2-8 weeks, no one would have an excuse to complain.

In the long term, we'll all be happy, and Apple will set another benchmark for new product sales. Those with a watch seem very satisfied.

That sapphire partner in Arizona that foundered last year surely did not help. Also, WSJ today said that Apple seems to be sourcing from single places for components, versus multiple, which is not very typical of Apple.

Many people in this thread, as well as quite a few reddit sources say that they ordered the water up to 9 hours after pre orders opened, received a "June" date, then this morning had their watch shipped.
I can't.

I'm so jealous.

I was on the incorrect employee site and didn't get in till :47, so maybe they will come through for me.

Ordered @12:05am conf @12:06am

I Ordered @12:05am with a conf @12:06am. I haven't been charged & still says processing. My delivery window is May 13-May 27. I'm in San Diego, California. Maybe I got lucky since I've read some ppl with :05 conf got June delivery date.

Not rly unless u were rly early. A lot of us got a generic June date and apple telling us orders would come early

That note that Apple sent out did not say my order specifically would come early. It said some orders might come early, but others would not.

Really? Then Apple truly is skipping people .. figures. :apple:

Surely they have no reason to intentionally do so. It must have to do with batches, credit pre-auths, etc. But yeah, if you're awake in the wee hours to throw money at them, they kind of owe it to you.

Anyone who feels slighted should certainly send them an email to let them know. Just remember that Cook always keeps an eye on customer satisfaction. They're humans too - constructive criticism.

I just can't believe not only did they make us wait so long after release ... now they're letting later orders go ahead of us as well? I can't believe it ..

I called customer service and they're very nice, and they assured me there weren't any issues with the order, so I guess I just have to wait. Hopefully it ships by the end of the week .. I guess if it doesn't that's when I'll write the email.

Not sure what you expect out of customer service. They're just fodder

I guess I just don't know the appropriate channel to go through? People who knew they were allergic to rubber bought sport bands and got upgraded to Milanese loops for free, I don't see why they can't throw a few sport bands to us SBSS 38mm who ordered in the first few minutes, especially since they're shipping orders out made the next morning first. Just unacceptable.

Are we 100% positive that more than one person has gotten shipment updates from a much later order time than the first few minutes? I keep hearing reddit but haven't seen anyone link it or show proof.

What does this have to do with this thread? The only people who have had Space Black watches move are those who ordered in the first couple of minutes.

I got confirmation at :02 and got a later date than some people with a later time here in Australia, my sports band went from Processing to PFS at around 5pm AEST.... so here's hoping theres some movement tonight with the watch.... I'll be pretty annoyed if it gets to the end of next week and I still haven't been charged!

Well there's this reddit post which claims they ordered over 9 hours after preorder opening, as well as several posts in this very thread stating the same thing. People ordering at 12:30 and shipping now, people ordering the next day shipping now ..

I briefly worked in the service industry (retail) and have a friend who just got out of doing CSR stuff via phone. I have great respect for how much crap those folks deal with. And I'm amazed how often Apple people have a good attitude at retail stores and over the phone. I urge everyone to always send a note if you have a good experience. It'll make up for the customer that complains for no good reason.

I received one unsolicited note about a customer appreciating my service (I didn't even understand what prompted them) many many years ago, and I still think about it.

That's crazy, haven't caught up in the thread since this afternoon. These 42s or 38s?
