I live in Newfoundland and we have a retail store which will not carry the apple watches any time soon. Closest store is 200$-400$ flight away (Halifax). So, I am officially screwed...

I also feel that most of the first produced watches were sold in China itself. I haven't come across any person who preordered from China in this forum. They might have finished those orders before they started others, I also heard that they sold a lot of Apple watches to China!

Surprised they haven't put one in St. John's yet...give it time, they will.

China buys more iPhones than the U.S. right now, so, yeah, they very may have exceeded the U.S. for preorders. We won't know until Apple actually reveals the sales numbers. (hopefully WWDC next month).

Yeah, Well they ain't going to have a store before June, so I don't really care if they have one or not. All I need is my damn watch that I stayed up all night to preorder! I was going crazy about it ever since they announced it.

There was one guy from Hong Kong on this thread but when Australia started shipping he got his as well.

I really don't see them stocking these in stores until at least the orders from April and May are filled. At least up to the point that Tim announced an ETA for in-store purchases. It's not good PR otherwise.
 
Tracking number just updated at 20:51 as "awaiting collection".

Also shows its scheduled for delivery tomorrow!! no idea why apple said 22nd!

I would expect them to only stock the models that are caught up on shipping. As everyone has been pointing out, they would be annoying their pre-order people if not. They likely had a contract with Maxifield long before they knew how their backlog would play out in practice, and had to honor it.

No such constraints with their own stores. They can stock just the ones they have available and begin a phased roll-in to the store without upsetting anyone.

I didn't think I would like the green but that looks pretty sweet..

I was convinced if I got a second band it would be dark (black or dark blue) for use at the gym. I'm now thinking the Product (RED) if it comes out and perhaps the green as an alternative.

I agree with you 100%. I have the Product(RED) iPhone case and iPad cover, I have always liked the Red / Black contrast. I am hoping they come out with it soon!

I was actually just going to point this out. This seems like a lot more planes then normal. Good news is this is right around the same time people got charged the last 2 weeks. I really hope this is movement on the rest of the May orders and some early June orders.
 
Shipping notification

I got excited when a shipping notification came in from Apple... alas it was for a band... still waiting for my SBSS watch. xx:14 42mm
 
Final Update:

Declined Monday morning due to BoA flagging unusual activity. Corrected the matter and was charged in hours. I feared I would have to wait until next week, however that isn't the case. It went PFS last night and now I have a shipped status!! I hope everyone's package comes soon!
