You have 14 days. Stop trying to "use" it and just try it as a watch. I think you will like it if you change your perspective a little.

Just a suggestion before returning!

I think I'm going to have to agree with you and give that a shot. I just need to wear it as a watch and quit trying to use it like I have. And it's 14 days from delivery on the return policy correct?

And this...both stolen from a Redditor:

Haha those were my photos from the Apple Watch Subreddit :]

I am really happy with it overall. The colors and the different finishes of the metal really are beautiful when certain lights hit them. At some angles it looks jet black and sometimes it has a more gun metal grey. I can tell that it's pretty tough in comparison to some beater watches I have in my collection.

I think I was going insane checking the shipment page every hour or so and being in processing hell for so long. I've been surprised with how sporadic the shipment times have been since the pre orders. I had another watch I ordered back 2 minutes into launch that I received on the 27th that was supposed to be for my mother, and I saw the shipping times for the space black slip to JUNE. I actually didn't order the space black till 1pm eastern time on the 10th (April) so I was surprised when the charge went through two nights ago when I was seeing some other 38mms still in the early pre order hours not being charged yet. I hope they catch up with these orders soon for everyone!

Side note: I could've sworn I had an account after all these years of obsessively checking these forums, but I may have removed it a few years ago due to paranoia of having worked at an Apple Store for a longish while.

If you look at your bill, it should say what your return date is (the end of the window). People previously said it's actually 14 business days (so, more like 18 days, due to weekends).

Picked up at hub. So nice. Clasp scratched within 2 hours of owning it - it was lightly rubbing on the airplane lap buckle - so yeah really not that 'durable' - any metal contact will scratch it. Also my maps don't work and I'm not alone in this regard. Other than that - gorgeous piece.

Actually, that scratch should be on top of the DLC coating. You should be able to just buff it off. If it's more stubborn, you can use gun oil or nail polish remover to rub it out.

Some good info here on removing scratches that get on top of the DLC coating:

Unless your seat buckle was made of diamond, I really doubt it actually scratched the DLC coating itself. :)

Surprised to hear about the scratching being so easy. I have heard to opposite. Few weeks before I can find out for myself so I don't know what to believe.

It isn't that easy. It'll be on top of the DLC coating.

Oh...and if you do decide to return it - maybe you should sell it instead. :) Chances are there's someone local to you waiting to get one of these. Could shorten their wait. :)

So as I wait for my watch to be delivered Tuesday. I went and put my sn on the serial number site to see fab date. Turns out mine was made week 17(April 12-18).

well I just got my watch yesterday. It looks very nice don't get me wrong but I'm having a hard time convincing myself that I need this. I'm fairly certain I will be returning it. I just don't have the use for it it.

Lol many of us dieing to get our watches...

I believe it's 14 business days from the time you *receive* it

So I wonder why it took so long for Apple to ship out the watch when it was made over a month ago?

Either the link bracelet was the hold up, or Cook wanted to create a buzz by sitting on the SSSB for a while.

Finally!! A pending charge appeared yesterday evening. I ordered after work on the first day. 38mm. No info via UPS or Apple otherwise. Still shown as processing per Apple Store app.

Cool! Congrats! I just wanted to confirm - you say "day one" - so, did you order on 4/10 or 4/24? If on the 10th, did you get an e-mail back from Apple, showing what time you ordered?

I think neither. I think the date of manufacture is the internal module only. The serial number is burned into the module when it's first programmed.

Well into the day. Wow! So that's 6:30pm PT.

The latest we have for the 42mm's is :13 :) (and that's outside the US). Think we saw one :06 in the US.

Hopefully we'll see more progress for the US over this holiday weekend.
We can hope, can't we! (says the guy who ordered at 7:25 eastern time and has the month of July as a shipping estimate.........)

2 flights incoming...

UPS99 from Incheon to Alaska and UPS109 from Alaska to Louisville.

2 more flights preparing to depart from Alaska to Louisville. (UPS2997 and UPS59)

I was skeptical at first about this flight information but it seems like it actually means something. It's so fun to watch the progress.
Thank you for updating us about it.
