Lol, they got the cheap ones.

Totally: just 14k

----------

MY wife and I went to the Apple store on May 23 and had a try on. I purposely stayed away because I was trying to convince myself that I did not want to buy the first year watch. (Even though I really wanted to!) Tried on a few different ones and finally settled on the Black stainless! My wife got one with the modern buckle. Her ship date is June 9. Up till a few minutes ago my just said July. It has since been updated to July 9-16! It wasn't that much of a change, but I am happy that I will get it mid July and not late July!

See I'm like you for my June date. Just give me an idea!

He's apparently the son of a Chinese billionaire who bought them for his dog. Maybe 20k was the max he's allowed to spend of daddies money.

All of you guys with just "June" dates who are wondering why us July people are getting updates really shouldn't be worrying. I think the fact that you haven't gotten a date range yet means that they could be shipping any time now. Especially since some lucky July people have actually gotten moved up to 6/22-6/29 estimates, I'd assume you guys are going to be getting yours sooner than later.

As for us July people with 7/7-7/13, I have a hunch that it'll be earlier than that. I've seen a ton of posts from people saying that they had a date range that was weeks into the future, and it suddenly and without warning just changed to "shipped".

Also, I was curious and asked on Apple Chat about why people who ordered on 4/10 were getting the same estimate as people who ordered today, and I was told that these estimates are absolutely a worst case scenario and it's very possible that they'll ship earlier. I know it was just an Apple Chat Rep, but hey, it's better than nothing.

Either way, I'm really looking forward to getting the watch and it's going to be awesome when we all get ours. Keep your hopes up guys! :p

Apple is definitely catching up. All 42mm SS watches are now showing 2-3 weeks on new orders with the SBSS at 5-6 weeks..

YAY! A date for the watch on the site! That's definitely good news. My GF said not to get too excited though because when it doesn't come I'll get sad again :(

lol. 5-6 weeks is still July. They haven't caught up much. We have no idea what "July" ever meant for the last 1.5 months. The only thing that would indicate they are catching up is having it show June before July gets here.

It might still be July but there's definitely a difference. SG for example showed 5-6 weeks which was also July, but there's a difference in terms on the store. It must mean it's under control enough to give solid dates

Considering that 5-6 is for "new" orders..meaning today..then yes. I would say they are catching up. If they weren't catching up then new orders would slip into August.

Haha...im not tryin to toy with anyone's emotions!..I'm just stating that it's finally looking like their supply is slowly catching up with demand. Keep ur chin up! It's coming!!

Just a thought... wasn't the first shipping window May 13-27? Since tomorrow is May 28, do you think we will see a bunch of orders for early June go forward? It would be nice to have my watch on Friday. xx:08 PST 4/10 42mm.

Hey all,

After paying close attention to this thread for the better part of 5 weeks or so, I finally have to break my silence. First off, I ordered the SSSB 42mm on April 10, at 12:06:43 am in Los Angeles. I was rather shocked initially when I saw that my delivery would be around June, but thought nothing of it at the time. I've waited longer for far more important things before.

Cut to almost 7 weeks later, and I am beyond frustrated. After >4 weeks of deliveries at this point, we are 5-6 minutes into the delivery schedule for our model. That is utterly ridiculous. It is clear that apple was in no way prepared for this product release, and are struggling to meet the demand for the apple watch. What frustrates me most is the fact that apple has provided absolutely zero updates for those who were very much the initial supporters of this product. 7 weeks without a word about when my near $1200 investment was going to be delivered. That is even more ludicrous. Moreover, any sort of communication I try and initiate with Apple is met with "You ordered one of our most popular models, we are getting to it". Superb customer service there. I could go on and on, but I'll save you the suffering.

I know that I, and many of you, are certainly at the end of a very long road. I truly believe that we will see significant shipping in 24-48 hours, but this has honestly been one of the worst product releases I have ever experienced. While I am sure that I will enjoy the watch in the end, at this point I do not think I will ever participate in another Apple product launch. I would much rather wait until I am able to walk into the store and purchase my gadget, than sit around watching forums for shipping estimates for over 2 months.

With that being said, thank you all so very much for being supporters and informers over the past weeks. I shall now drink to accelerated shipping times.

Best,

Majestyk1123

Hang in there Majesty and everyone else... I just received mine tonight. Just hang in there the beautiful piece will be on your wrist in time..

So this is purely just an observation about the flight patterns coming in to Louisville.. I don't know enough about UPS's internal processes to know if they are fully unloading the cargo and then reloading it..but I would think the timing wouldn't be long enough..but I could be wrong..

Date Aircraft Origin Destination Departure Arrival Duration
UPS109 B763 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 02:49PM AKDT (took off 5 hours 26 minutes ago) 12:51AM EDT 6:02
UPS63 B744 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 03:15PM AKDT (took off 5 hours ago) 01:02AM EDT 5:46
UPS61 B744 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 03:26PM AKDT (took off 4 hours 49 minutes ago) 01:13AM EDT 5:46
UPS81 B744 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 03:54PM AKDT (took off 4 hours 22 minutes ago) 01:38AM EDT 5:44
UPS49 MD11 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 04:12PM AKDT (took off 4 hours ago) 01:49AM EDT 5:37
UPS2997 MD11 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 11:45PM AKDT (departs in 3 hours 29 minutes) 09:27AM EDT

UPS109 - Always originates in Narita Japan and has a layover of about 3 hrs in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS63 - Always originates in Hong Kong China and has a layover of just under 2 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS61 - Always originates in Incheon Taiwan and has a layover of about 2.5 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS81 - Always originates in Shanghai China and has a layover of just under 2 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS49 - Always originates in Incheon Taiwan...and today is the first time it's traveling to Louisville.
UPS2997 - Always just a flight from Anchorage to Louisville.
UPS77 - Mostly Shenzhen with an occasional Kansai before traveling to Louisville or Ontario

So in reality, how many of these flights do we think actually have watches on them or are they all freight coming from other locations that are just clearing customs and then flying on to Louisville? If it's only UPS77 that's flying watches, I think Ontario is mainly their warehouse for the bands..

I'm just burning time reading too much in to this in hopes I see an alert pop up tonight about a charge... Here's to hoping...and wasting time trying to figure out the logic behind something that is way outside of my skill set.

I feel the same way. Well put.

I have lost so much interest since it was first announced. I saw the SSSB and knew that was the one. Like many of us, I was scouring the Internet for any and all information regarding the AW.

Fast forward to today, I still would like it, but I am in no way as enthusiastic as I was months previous.

If I find someone who HAS to have it the day I have it in hand, c-ya AW. I'll stick with my tool watches and pick a SSSB from the store when they have them in stock.

It still amazes me when I have been tracking UPS flights from Asia for the AW and previously the iPhones, how much stuff is sent this way on a daily basis and these are only UPS cargo!

Been awesome hanging with you peeps. I can tell you it's definitely worth the wait, I'm so glad I picked the space black instead of any other version of apple watch, I've only been using it for a few hours and I am in love with it already!

I'm glad you got it mate!

me too!! You will get yours soon enough! The Black Leather Loop just shipped. I gotta say tho. I have really hard time taking the links off due to lack of nail. lol I literally have to have my gf take them off for me. but I found a way to remove the link bracelet without having to remove any link first by removing both side at the same time. I was almost regreting buying extra bands because I have having hard time removing links. lol

While happy to have a more exact date than just July (I have 5-6 weeks July 7-14) it feels like a date they just put on everyone that had just July as a delivery date.

If you look at apple.com it also says 5-6 weeks and I feel that the date we got is more so that we won't have a later date than the one showing on their site (can you imagine all the angry calls they'd get if that happened?) than an actuall delivery date.

If not it means that Apple would deliver all orders done between April 22 (when I ordered mine) or even earlier and today the same week. Dosn't feel realistic to me...

Thoughts?
