Found out why there's such a delay in our watches... Apple was busy making 2 gold edition watches for this guy... Damn Chinese Billionaires....
Lol, they got the cheap ones.
MY wife and I went to the Apple store on May 23 and had a try on. I purposely stayed away because I was trying to convince myself that I did not want to buy the first year watch. (Even though I really wanted to!) Tried on a few different ones and finally settled on the Black stainless! My wife got one with the modern buckle. Her ship date is June 9. Up till a few minutes ago my just said July. It has since been updated to July 9-16! It wasn't that much of a change, but I am happy that I will get it mid July and not late July!
Apple is definitely catching up. All 42mm SS watches are now showing 2-3 weeks on new orders with the SBSS at 5-6 weeks..

lol. 5-6 weeks is still July. They haven't caught up much. We have no idea what "July" ever meant for the last 1.5 months. The only thing that would indicate they are catching up is having it show June before July gets here.

YAY! A date for the watch on the site! That's definitely good news. My GF said not to get too excited though because when it doesn't come I'll get sad again![]()

Hang in there Majesty and everyone else... I just received mine tonight. Just hang in there the beautiful piece will be on your wrist in time..
Hey all,
After paying close attention to this thread for the better part of 5 weeks or so, I finally have to break my silence. First off, I ordered the SSSB 42mm on April 10, at 12:06:43 am in Los Angeles. I was rather shocked initially when I saw that my delivery would be around June, but thought nothing of it at the time. I've waited longer for far more important things before.
Cut to almost 7 weeks later, and I am beyond frustrated. After >4 weeks of deliveries at this point, we are 5-6 minutes into the delivery schedule for our model. That is utterly ridiculous. It is clear that apple was in no way prepared for this product release, and are struggling to meet the demand for the apple watch. What frustrates me most is the fact that apple has provided absolutely zero updates for those who were very much the initial supporters of this product. 7 weeks without a word about when my near $1200 investment was going to be delivered. That is even more ludicrous. Moreover, any sort of communication I try and initiate with Apple is met with "You ordered one of our most popular models, we are getting to it". Superb customer service there. I could go on and on, but I'll save you the suffering.
I know that I, and many of you, are certainly at the end of a very long road. I truly believe that we will see significant shipping in 24-48 hours, but this has honestly been one of the worst product releases I have ever experienced. While I am sure that I will enjoy the watch in the end, at this point I do not think I will ever participate in another Apple product launch. I would much rather wait until I am able to walk into the store and purchase my gadget, than sit around watching forums for shipping estimates for over 2 months.
With that being said, thank you all so very much for being supporters and informers over the past weeks. I shall now drink to accelerated shipping times.
Best,
Majestyk1123
So this is purely just an observation about the flight patterns coming in to Louisville.. I don't know enough about UPS's internal processes to know if they are fully unloading the cargo and then reloading it..but I would think the timing wouldn't be long enough..but I could be wrong..

UPS109 - Always originates in Narita Japan and has a layover of about 3 hrs in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS63 - Always originates in Hong Kong China and has a layover of just under 2 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS61 - Always originates in Incheon Taiwan and has a layover of about 2.5 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS81 - Always originates in Shanghai China and has a layover of just under 2 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS49 - Always originates in Incheon Taiwan...and today is the first time it's traveling to Louisville.
UPS2997 - Always just a flight from Anchorage to Louisville.
UPS77 - Mostly Shenzhen with an occasional Kansai before traveling to Louisville or Ontario
So in reality, how many of these flights do we think actually have watches on them or are they all freight coming from other locations that are just clearing customs and then flying on to Louisville? If it's only UPS77 that's flying watches, I think Ontario is mainly their warehouse for the bands..
I'm just burning time reading too much in to this in hopes I see an alert pop up tonight about a charge... Here's to hoping...and wasting time trying to figure out the logic behind something that is way outside of my skill set.
with BSB and with my friend's SS with ML.
I'm glad you got it mate!
