4 days until June, 4 days until I'm calling :apple: several times a day.

As a former AppleCare Advisor, please don't. We die a little inside when people pester us about these things because they need something to do. We know you are frustrated, but take a walk every time you want to call. I know you are probably kidding but there are insane people who think wasting time on the phone speeds stuff up.

----------

While happy to have a more exact date than just July (I have 5-6 weeks July 7-14) it feels like a date they just put on everyone that had just July as a delivery date.

If you look at apple.com it also says 5-6 weeks and I feel that the date we got is more so that we won't have a later date than the one showing on their site (can you imagine all the angry calls they'd get if that happened?) than an actuall delivery date.

If not it means that Apple would deliver all orders done between April 22 (when I ordered mine) or even earlier and today the same week. Dosn't feel realistic to me...

Thoughts?

Good call. The July updates were weird but that actually makes sense. The dates have to be in keeping with the current windows for new orders and at this point plain July is 8-9 weeks.

Another Aussie

Like a lot of others I had a hiccup when ordering, plus I wasn't treating it as seriously as I maybe should have. I realised my credit card number needed to be updated seeing it had been replaced after a hacking episode. End of story, I ended up with an order time of 25 minutes after the online store opening. I have a June window that hasn't budged since then. No movement at all on the credit card. I am hoping that after the first ten minutes of ordering, the next half hour or so was stragglers like me and Apple should be able to get a heap of us off this thread in the next week or so.

It's an excellent idea and a great excuse to take a walk while talking on the phone, also my reception is sometimes a little better down the street. Thanks for the suggestion, a wonderful combo with some fresh air!

I just know that the sweet voice of an AppleCare Advisor and carefully scripted empathy will be able to lift my deepest sorrows!

It's not nearly as scripted as you might think. We have things we have to say one way or another, and advisors often develop their own patterns similar to scripts. Though if you call about an Apple Watch you will definitely get some of the more generic responses.

Don't take a walk while you are on the phone. I know you are being sarcastic but the worst customers are the ones who call while driving or unloading groceries or any other task that is not at home. Though the problem is mostly when someone calls about trouble with their phone or computer and they aren't at home, don't have the device, and are driving down the highway. They spend all this time explaining the problem and I tell them they have to call back when they get home, there isn't a damn thing I can do while they are driving down the road without the reason they are calling in their hand.

No Shipments of SSSB Watches in Australia in over a week on this Forum !!
What's going on Apple !!
This is way beyond a joke now !!
7 weeks tomorrow I've waited with no update what so ever, called customer service again today as this was going to be a bday present for me from my wife (bday tomorrow:( ) , ordered on 04/10 as soon as the system came up (over the phone) and while the cust service woman was very nice, she proceeded to inform me nothing that I didn't know already and had no info beyond "we currently have no supply of your watch but we are expecting to ship it in June" !!
So all in all, not a happy camper ATM, didn't expect to take the trouble of ordering bang on opening time to still be waiting 7 weeks later !!

Heh. Whenever someone complains about the high price of Apple's goods, all we need do is point to the masses that call day after day for no good reason.

When I started my career back in '93 at IBM, we figured the cost per call was $45 (that's the warm body and all the training and infrastructure to support them). And that was on an average 8 minute call. I wonder how much more expensive support is for companies these days.

It doesn't seem to matter how much we explain that there's nothing the reps can do for you, people continue to call in and waste everyone's time.

All those with "June" should take a deep breath and feel lucky - lucky you don't have a date range, as that means you'll have your watches very, very soon. Those of us that had "July" now have date ranges...our expectations have been set - no early June deliveries for us.

You will have your watches soon.

I was just comparing AW shipped to states in the U.S.

It seemed to be happening to the Sport Space Gray. Others in the U.S. We're getting them before mine. So, my order time seemed to be +25 seconds then I finally received mine.

Seconds? We've been over the whole "there's no quality of service on e-mail delivery" topic, yes? The e-mail confirmation times are a good approximation of order sequence. Nothing more. E-mails are sent to a farm of IMAP servers that are usually ordered in a "round-robin", not load-balanced measure. Why? Because people don't care that much about the order in which e-mail is sent.
This is why some people got their confirmation e-mail 9 minutes (or more!) after ordering.

That time stamp was never designed by Apple to be an indicator of where you are in the queue; we just decided to use it as one.

It's all perception. This is how it appears as you continue to wait for your watch, but we're such a small sliver of the orders, there's almost certainly neighbours getting their watches that you don't see.

So this is purely just an observation about the flight patterns coming in to Louisville.. I don't know enough about UPS's internal processes to know if they are fully unloading the cargo and then reloading it..but I would think the timing wouldn't be long enough..but I could be wrong..

Date Aircraft Origin Destination Departure Arrival Duration
UPS109 B763 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 02:49PM AKDT (took off 5 hours 26 minutes ago) 12:51AM EDT 6:02
UPS63 B744 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 03:15PM AKDT (took off 5 hours ago) 01:02AM EDT 5:46
UPS61 B744 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 03:26PM AKDT (took off 4 hours 49 minutes ago) 01:13AM EDT 5:46
UPS81 B744 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 03:54PM AKDT (took off 4 hours 22 minutes ago) 01:38AM EDT 5:44
UPS49 MD11 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 04:12PM AKDT (took off 4 hours ago) 01:49AM EDT 5:37
UPS2997 MD11 Anchorage Intl (PANC) Louisville Intl (KSDF) 11:45PM AKDT (departs in 3 hours 29 minutes) 09:27AM EDT

UPS109 - Always originates in Narita Japan and has a layover of about 3 hrs in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS63 - Always originates in Hong Kong China and has a layover of just under 2 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS61 - Always originates in Incheon Taiwan and has a layover of about 2.5 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS81 - Always originates in Shanghai China and has a layover of just under 2 hours in Anchorage before heading on to Louisville.
UPS49 - Always originates in Incheon Taiwan...and today is the first time it's traveling to Louisville.
UPS2997 - Always just a flight from Anchorage to Louisville.
UPS77 - Mostly Shenzhen with an occasional Kansai before traveling to Louisville or Ontario

So in reality, how many of these flights do we think actually have watches on them or are they all freight coming from other locations that are just clearing customs and then flying on to Louisville? If it's only UPS77 that's flying watches, I think Ontario is mainly their warehouse for the bands..

I'm just burning time reading too much in to this in hopes I see an alert pop up tonight about a charge... Here's to hoping...and wasting time trying to figure out the logic behind something that is way outside of my skill set.

Both of my bands BB Loop and BSB came from Harrisburg, pa.

me too!! You will get yours soon enough! The Black Leather Loop just shipped. I gotta say tho. I have really hard time taking the links off due to lack of nail. lol I literally have to have my gf take them off for me. but I found a way to remove the link bracelet without having to remove any link first by removing both side at the same time. I was almost regreting buying extra bands because I have having hard time removing links. lol

The space gray pin: Does it match the watch or is it too gray/not black enough?

I do not recall ever mentioning I ws going by the e-mail stamp, that time would be inacurate. I received the order time from Apple Customer service. They will give one the exacte order time. I do know there are probably an unknown number of orders with the same time stamp.

It is all a mystery and frustrating. They (Apple) could provide some information on any delays for those people who pre-order well in advance.

Yep, more communication would have been good for certain. I think the most frustrating part of that is that they could have sent out communications so easily.

That I lay at Angela's feet. Online/Retail is her baby. There's no reason they couldn't have provided better expectations (and regular updates) to their customers. Hell, you could easily build e-mail notifications into the order system itself.

Well it looks like the July 42 I had originally ordered on 4/10 has the updated window now 7/7-7/14. I'm thinking I'm probably going to go with the 38 though so as long as things go well with that watch I'll be freeing up a space in the queue for the 42. We'll see how it goes, I would be bummed about losing out on the leather loop but if it fits better oh well, we'll see how it goes.

Either way I guess that belongs in one of the 38/42 threads but good news is it's out for delivery and I'm working from home and prepped to take the rest of the day off when it comes! I'm actually hoping working will keep my mind off it until it does. I tried to do the UPS my choice and have it stay at a location but I guess I didn't catch it soon enough because that would have delayed it a day, thankfully I had the chance to cancel the change before it went through!

It's already Thursday and no movement of the 42's, at least on this forum. I don't think anyone will be getting one this week.

I hope something will happen next week!

So its looks like apple is going to hold true to the "Ships in June" line we all are looking at on our orders.

I am going to try to stop being so impatient until Monday. Hopefully we either get shipments rolling out on sunday night / monday morning or we start seeing our "Ships in June" updated to a time frame.

Yeah its BS. I hate the fact that Apple made sure to get the watches out before the 27th time frame, but then the rest of the orders sit idle because they are "Ships in June". WHY!? Why not keep rolling out watches as you have them... We obviously know they have them. They magically pull one out anytime a order processing fails. Like the person who had a 27th time frame, his card got rejected, he updated, still didn't ship but then they updated him to "June 1-3rd" and ended up shipping his watch earlier then that and he received it this week. I believe it was 'bryanhobbs' but I'm not positive. Even then, that time frame signifies what? Was it a custom time frame they set, or did they slide him into the early june orders and thats what some of us will be looking at? The latter doesnt seem realistic because the 3rd is wednesday and none of us have been updated with a time frame yet.

All I know is, they officially shipped out all 42s until xx:06:18 last time I checked. Im a :50. COME ON.

Yep, there was about a dozen I think that shipped earlier in the week / tail end of the weekend. Seems to have closed off the :05's (hoping there's none left) - think we only had a few US :06's move. A very little trickle we saw this week. I was certainly hoping we were going to have a flood of movement this week with all of the flights we saw over the weekend. It is still possible though (the long weekend would have delayed a lot of customs clearances).

I wouldn't write this week off until it's over. :)

I can't believe one day off delays them this much. Also knowing apple they probably are pushing for customs to clear all apple cargo as fast as possible so they can "keep" making customers happy.

Just switched to the SS LB thread and noticed people got charges last night and tuesday. So that means some watches are moving, but of course ours isnt...

Ordered on 4/23. Was given the vague June ship date. Then it was June 22-29, then yesterday it switched to the week before. Last night I was charged and it is now preparing for shipment.

Really? I ordered 4/22 and have July 7-14
