I suspect those of us that ordered in April will be getting our watches this month, not next. The windows Apple gave us was their "worst case scenario" to cover for any production delays or other anomalies.

Yeah but first it was just July and now July 7-14. Strange that they would narrow it down to a week and then deliver earlier.

on the plus side, your Louisville plane got in, with enough time for them to get that cargo on the plane to Mount Hope (that arrived at 5:30am this morning). My guess, your next update will be when it clears Canadian Customs (hopefully sometime this morning) 🙂

Yep, Mount Hope, then Concord to be broken into regional shipments (Concord is UPS' distribution hub).

We get 4 flights a week (Tues-Friday) from Louisville to Mount Hope.

Once the shipment for the east coast is ready, it will go back to Mount Hope to fly east. (there's no airport in Concord). Yes, makes you wonder why they didn't put their distribution centre next to the airport...

Thanks! I did not know that. So hopefully I'll get it on Friday or Saturday.
 
My order is a UPS Worldwide Expedited

I was checking the UPS site in St. John's they are open on Saturdays. So, I am assuming I can pick up at the store?

No, you really don't want a store. That may actually delay you until Monday. (the drivers drop off at the stores at the end of the day) - so you likely wouldn't get a chance to get it. Is there a hub there?
 
UPS's services are BS sometimes. Whats the different between Expedited and Express? Because realistically the package will be there at the same speed with either shipping method used. Only difference is the ability to add saturday delivery. What I find funny is, they only offer it for one option. So they ARENT letting customers give them EXTRA money to pick something up on a saturday if its already at the hub / in their city.

They should add saturday delivery to anything thats sitting at the local facility on a friday and has a monday delivery. They would make so much more money if customers were like "oh its here today, but wont be delivered today, saturday delivery is $5-15, ok done" and then its either delivered to you or a UPS store (this should be an option).

I like Fedex because they delivery monday - friday, or tuesday - saturday. Cover all of your bases.

They really should. I understand the hub isnt open, but if the package is at the hub on friday, they can deliver it to the UPS Store of your choice since your paying them extra anyway for saturday delivery. Even if UPS Store isnt an option, you have drivers that deliver on saturday, charge the extra and throw another package on the truck.

I know a few friends who's dad's are UPS drivers, and in my area, they only work until noon because there's never enough packages to justify working a full shift assuming they start at 8-830am, which most of them do. So how hard is it to throw another package on the truck? You'll make extra money on top of what the shipper is paying you. All because some of us tech geeks are overly excited and want our package now. Especially since weekends are all we usually get to enjoy our new technology. During the week its gf/wife, work, more work, pets, more work, chores lol.
 
I ordered May 16th, and was originally told that it'd come the end of July-Early August. Then it was updated to early July and then late June-Early July. Yesterday I got an Email saying that it is going to be delivered June 16th (my Birthday!) to June 18th. It seems like things are really moving over at Apple. I'm one psyched Goomba! ^_^

Which one did u order? I ordered on April 10 still got July 7-14

And you may be psyched, but also on the wrong thread. You ordered a SBSS on May 16, and have a delivery window of June 16-18?
 
I'm pretty impatient and I'm kind of surprised that there are those even more impatient than me.. With all the UPS tracking and trying to pick it up asap. I mean you're getting yours literally in a day or two cuz it's already shipped. Relax lol

I know some of you watch the Flight-aware site with all the flights UPS77 coming from Schenzhen. I just found it interesting that the flight path takes it SE over part of the Philippines and then does a sharp U-turn back toward China then up over Taiwan. Technically posting about our watches since they may be on that flight. Can anyone conjecture why such at flight path, I know there have to be some aviation guys on here. (or gals)
 
Not trying to jinx it and praying I don't, but I somehow recall once ordering something from Apple that had a status like "Available to Ship: June" and it didn't get shipped until literally the last possible day and I received it the last day of that month... they weren't wrong, but it was kind of a dick move.
 
Hi everybody. This is my very first post in MacRumors; I've been a silent reader of this thread for some weeks.
I want to share that my confirmation email was received at X:16 but I haven't been charged. I know that some x:17 already are happily wearing their watches, but its not my case. No PFS, no charge, no notification 🙁.
So maybe not every x:16 order have been dispatched (at least, mine!).
BTW, it's great to read you all.
