@fischersd ...
Fisch, what do you think about holding it at the hub and picking it up? Good idea? Bad idea?

Yeah, residential deliveries are always after the business deliveries, so we tend to see a lot of late afternoon / early evening deliveries.

Check the hours for your local hub - if their early morning window is one that works with your schedule, you could have it held there and pick it up first thing in the morning.

Also, if it's convenient for you to get to, it may not be a bad idea to pop in there and verify with them when you can pick it up. Often the hours that are posted on the UPS site are more restrictive than the actual location. (you may have to pop in though - they try to keep the local phone numbers hidden if possible).

I'm in the U.S. too, that's a little disappointing but we'll see in the next few days!

I hope you are right but since the US is only about 7 hours in to April 10 I don't expect them to cover 12 days of orders in less then 2 weeks. The irritating thing is that if you order one now it also says 3-4 weeks...

Have you seen some of the graphs showing estimates on the pre-orders?? It's ALL April 10th, then the remaining days are basically "line noise" in terms of volume.

I say estimates as Apple still hasn't shared real sales numbers (wish they would have done so at WWDC).

There were likely more of these ordered in the first hour than in the two weeks that followed.

And now the 42mm SB SS is a priority for Apple to fill the backlog. Maybe they've added additional production lines to get these out quicker. Wish we had some insight into that, but we'll just have to be happy with the results. It'll happen.

No, I haven't seen them. Where can I do so? If that is correct it's very good news and we might see movement earlier.

Still very confusing that the delivery time is the same for order placed today as orders placed in April though. One of the dates has to be wrong and hopefully it's ours that will be delivered earlier. :)

Mine still said "5-6 weeks" on the store site, so Apple's not updating our estimates online. All backorders will be filled before new orders. Apple's already said that the backlog is filled in order as much as possible, so new orders go to the back of the line.

Took me a bit to find the charts, they're here: http://qz.com/410027/apple-watch-or...havent-grown-since-a-shopping-data-firm-says/

The second chart has the 10th eliminated, so you can see detail.

Well those numbers looks good for us that have ordered a few days after April 10.

To bad they don't update our delivery window more correct so we don't have to speculate. If orders done today will be delivered in 3-4 weeks those in April should be delivered earlier and it would be nice of Apple to say so...

@MacLilja Agreed - would be nice if Apple did more status updates on the online store. Something they hopefully get better at for future launches.

I see Lordwill0722 beat me to the "in the air" comment. :) (left a little late at 9:44PM CST). Due to arrive in Anchorage at 1:45pm local time (which I believe to be 2:45PM PT or 5:45PM ET).

If my memory serves me right, after this flight is where things get split up depending on where the watches are going right?

@fischersd Im glad to come back and see your watch shipped a lot earlier than expected! Im excited for you man. I assume your delivery date is tomorrow!? SHARE PICTURES WHEN YOU GET IT.

I purchased my SB SS watch at 11:15 AM EDT on April 10th, and it is now finally PFS. Woot!

@Sikh Thanks man! Should be Thursday that I get it. Pumped!! :)

@graphene What country are you in? It looks like US, but wanted to make sure. :)

@elembemedia Honestly, it's been a bit of a crap shoot as to when UPS splits up their east/west - we've seen them deviate lately. Originally, most was going to Louisville, but we've seen them doing some splitting of loads at Anchorage - western distribution being through Ontario, CA, eastern through Louisville.

Like any good problem in life, just sleep on it...

PFS baby!

Woke up to the news just now - April 22nd order, Australia, had July 6 - 13 window. Come to Papa!

Hi every one , i signed of monday as my watch arrived, i did say that i would post a pic but as so many have done so before me i didn't see the need , But I'm back just to say that after a day and a half or so , I'm loving it , At first i didn't really see why i needed one , so i took up the offer by apple to have a one to one with them and i was chatting to a adviser for over a hour going through many different things the watch can do, I strongly recommend that you save the email you will get asking to have a one to one ,as i now know many things it can do that i didn't before, play with the watch for a hour or two before you make a appointment and write down any questions you have, i love the watch even more now it does much more than you think it does , some one before me recommend to do this in this thread so thumbs up to them as it was because of them i did so myself , all the best and enjoy YOU WILL LOVE IT I'm sure .

All those that were charged yesterday - you should (as I do) have your watch in your apple support profile now.

https://supportprofile.apple.com/

...which means, if you didn't buy AC+ and want to, now is the best time to get it (no chance of them asking for an inspection when you haven't received the watch yet). Just called and added it to mine. :) They e-mail you a link to a secure order form that is tied to your watch's serial number. :)

Also for the Monday crowd, UPS81 now has the next leg scheduled to Louisville - should be there by 1:19AM tomorrow morning. :)

Lucky for me I walked into the store and used apple pay (on the watch of course) to pay for my applecare+. The specialist was like "your the first one with this watch, your very lucky" and I'm like "i know". He kept staring at it and totally didn't bother inspecting it. When I paid and asked about inspection, he said "this watch is less likely to scratch with its DLC coating, so I'm not worried". I asked him how many people came in with other watches scratched and he said most people that havent owned stainless steel watches are coming in complaining about scratches on the steel already and him being a watch wearer has to explain to them that micro scratches happen.

It was awesome to deal with someone who knows DLC wont scratch that easy and I didn't have to take it off for a 10 minute appt so they could inspect it and then cover it. So theres that.

Plus I really wanted to use apple pay via the watch to pay for it lmao

Heh, well, we don't have Apple Pay here yet. A little pissed that our banks have prolonged the negotiations (and that the UK is getting it before we are). Haven't heard any updates since the papers said we were likely getting it in November. :(

But, s'ok. I'll make sure my starbucks card is in there and use that to pay the next time I'm in Waterloo and grab a latte there. :)
