As I sit in my living room waiting for the UPS truck to arrive at my house with my new SSSB Apple Watch, I just want to take this moment to thank everyone who is involved in this thread. I really appreciated the support that you all gave me and each other, it really helped a lot. I'll be sure to post pictures of everything! (I can already see the box in my hands lol). I wish everyone that's still waiting for their watch peace of mind and little to no complications! Be back soon with pics!!
 
I am same date. I have to return my other watch Monday and thought I might get lucky and not miss a day. Hopefully it ships tonight. My other watch was charged overnight when it shipped.
Well I wish the both of us good luck! I'm very much wishing for it to deliver Monday also since it's my birthday...would be the best birthday surprise ever! :D

You'll forget all of that once you have it, the Space Grey Sport is lame in comparison!! Not long now...

I can report that the DLC is doing well - I thought I'd scratched it (day 3) when I bumped the band clasp against the arm of an aluminum chair, reaching into my pocket for my phone but sure enough, the pencil eraser trick rubbed the scratch right off! Then, later, I rubbed my other hand across the clasp again, marking it with a gold ring and that came straight off with a microfibre cloth! Faith restored:D

Yeah, my Deliveries app said "Delivered in 2 days" last night. When I checked this morning, the number of days is gone and it just says "We left the package in our facility. This may cause a delay. We will deliver as quickly as possible. / Your delivery has been rescheduled for the next business day."

I talked to a UPS rep and she said that it's scheduled for tomorrow, but I'm not sure I believe her :confused:

That's lame. I could totally understand if it was like, "One of our planes has malfunctioned, there's going to be a delay", but seriously, we got "Oopsie, we forgot your package :)" How do you even do that? :confused:

Oh well, I talked to another rep because I was wondering why it still said "Rescheduled for the next business day" (Which would be Monday), and again, I was told that it's still fine and scheduled for tomorrow.

EDIT: Just checked my delivery status, it's back to 1 day! For those of us who got that message, I think we're all good here :D

Mine just updated as well. I hate to be pessimistic but I wouldn't be surprised if it still gets me backed up till Monday. Can't be that many options to get my package from Louisville to Honolulu.

I just had an import scan at 12:40PM, did you get anything?

the saga continues....all the while some people can just walk in to some ARS and buy the watch after we were told our orders would be filled first by email....

I am venting....2.5 months was a long wait....especially when wrong expectations were set about ARS not selling until we got ours. That's what I am annoyed about most.
 
I have been lurking here for about three weeks after my wife bought me a SB SS watch on June 8, 2015, for my 50th birthday. In St. Louis, Missouri by the way. Got an original delivery date of 7/21-28/2015. Then on June 11, 2015, I got an email from Apple staing delivery would be in 1 to 2 weeks but the delivery date on the order page only changed to 7/7-14/2015. Did not think that Apple would make the date in the email. Today Apple called my wife and told her that the email was wrong and that the delivery date should be in the 7/7-14/2015 range. I guess Apple got too optimistic with the email date. My wife told the Apple person that it would just miss my birthday so I am hopeful that maybe some good luck will come and it will get here by my birthday. Not holding my breath though.
 
Been lurking on this forum for some time...but thought I'd post an interesting story that happened to me today...

Just some quick background - I'm based in the US (NYC specifically), and placed an order for the SBSS on 6/6.

I've been checking the retail store reservation site daily at 8 AM to see if I could magically get my hands on the watch earlier, and this morning, I actually managed to make a reservation at one of the stores. I did not cancel my online order (yet).

I went to the store, they brought out the actual package, but when the salesperson scanned it, it kept displaying an error. This got escalated to the store manager, and then escalated higher to Apple point-of-sale support. All in all, I waited about an hour and a half before the manager came out and told me that the watch was NOT supposed to be sold in retail stores yet, and she'd be unable to sell it to me. They even asked her to ship the watch back to headquarters.

Disappointing, as I'm sure you can imagine, but it does appear that they've locked down retail sales until they've gotten through the online backlog.

To compensate for my time there, the manager offered to comp me with AppleCare on the watch, so I guess the whole day was not a loss.

On a separate note...I got the same email/call @Ramsler got about getting the watch in 1 to 2 weeks - ironically...while I was in the store waiting. :)
 
Do we know what date is the official or guesstimate "We are all caught up with online orders and can now sell them in store" date?
