Speaking of bands is anyone going to have to remove links from their sbss band for it to fit?
I tried the ss version at the store and it's really tight on my big wrist. If anybody is going to remove a link and would like to donate to a fellow apple fan, i would much appreciate it.
I doubt the Apple store will have any on hand for that problem.

Called Apple Support and the representative assured me that there have been models of every watch shipped out. I told him that is definitely not the case. He was incredulous as to how I would have that information and I told him that there isn't a photo on the Internet or a post in a forum anywhere of someone who has received this watch but that would be really great if he could verify that I was incorrect. His reply? "I can't discuss other orders." This is so fun...

This is just a red band correct, not Product Red? Either way it's beautiful, I always get Product Red accessories for my iPhones and iPads.
I don't know if they'll release it as just a regular sport band in red or a product red, either way I want it!!
I went to a retail Apple Store on day 1, looked at the display model in the flesh, and went home to order it. That model was not starkly jet black. No try-on models were available.

Yeah, a red sport and/or leather band would go great with our watch face.

On June 15th, 2010 we were able to pre-order the white iPhone 4 with a initial projected delivery within one month.
On June 24th Apple announced that there were unforeseeable delays which pushed back the release for 7 - yes, seven - months.
It wouldn't be unprecedented to see a major delay because of production issues. The white iPhone was difficult because of the color and we hear a lot of news that Apple has trouble with the color of these space black watches as well (search the thread!). The problem could be even bigger because the casing and the bracelet must match in color.
Let's hope this theory is not true. If it is true we will break the 1 million views on this thread...

You could not pre-order the white iPhone 4. It was not possible.

Haha. I love that you called him out!! I keep calling and chatting and saying the same thing. Apple keeps assuring me that all models have been sent... They make it sound like " you should have ordered faster".
Is there any point in setting up another thread solely for the purposes of posting once someone has a change in status (for the space black model only) - so no other comments! If we then subscribe to that thread we will get that notifcation and can get excited! Will also save the constant refresh of this thread in said hope!!

Why do people keep calling Apple Support? It's not a chat line. They're not there for the lonely people to have someone to talk to. I don't get it.
Even if any of them knew anything, I somehow doubt Apple's Legal department is going to let them say anything. That's true of any big company - you get quoted by the press and you're not a CxO or a member of the PR team, better start cleaning out your desk!

It'll never work, people will always post other things, even if it's just a reply to someone whose status has changed. This thread is well-known, I definitely think we should keep things here.
That goes along with the previously posted charges starting at noon pacific time. If anything happens, we've got about 2 ½ hours till then.

Could you give us all a more clear rule book for how we should all be acting. You've given many individual rules but a consolidated canon complete with index would be greatly appreciated!

I just can't take it!
I ordered on April 10th around 3:10 EST. I got a May 13-27 ship date. For the 42 SSSB. I ordered a few seconds later the 42 SS black Classic band and got the April 24th ship date. That watch was charged on the 23th and I got it on the 24th (I stalked the UPS man!!)
This is killing me my order number is W480. I can't take the wait. I bought the first one to hold me over until the second one came (yes that is like an addiction ;-) I call it the "appetizer" watch!). I am trying to be patient and I'm in NJ and our ship from PA so it comes quick. I just ordered a SBSS in the 38 just to see if it comes faster. It has a June 15-24 ship date now.
There was another thread where people where just ordering the SS Classic buckle in the 38 and they were shipping out within a few days!! They were initially getting the 4-6 week estimate but it was coming way faster.
I'm having a hard time, I have no patience! I'll spend 5.99 for next day shipping on a $7.00 item at Amazon to get it next day!!!
I do love the one I have more and more everyday, but I can see that the 38 would have been fine.
