As much as I'd love to believe those are new MBP's (since i too will be buying monday afternoon) Apple is still displaying a link to the "New Macbook Pro" on their homepage....This would have been removed a while ago if there really were new ones coming in 3 days.

If you actually read the captions, it says that the warehouse is full due to the new product.

Really? I'm so very glad you cleared that up for me, considering that I was making a joke.

I wonder if Apple learned their lesson after the first iPhone launch and will have hundreds of iPhones available at each AT&T and Apple store. That could explain the iPhone shortage lately. Perhaps they fully switched over all the factories to the new line so they could stockpile millions. I took off early to wait in line last June at the AT&T store near my work. They ended up running out a few people ahead of me, and I was kinda upset that I had to wait for them to mail it the next week. So my guess is they will try their best to avoid that happening again.

It's only a matter of time before someone starts camping out there with sonar imaging , infrared and or x ray equipment. :D

Time: 10:15am, 9th June 2008
Steve Jobs: The current IPhone shipping now, includes an app for Xray, Sonar Imaging and infrared.... A world changing device to fight against terrorism right there in your pocket :D

Whatever iPhone version it is, it will be shipping on Monday. The lack of inventory at ATT/AAPL stores proves this.

sadly, it in fact doesn't prove anything. Does it give it a high probability? Sure. I want to see the new iPhone discussd and stated to ship Monday as well, but realistically we have to keep in mind that those boxes are still sitting at a distribution center that likely ships to the apple stores, not the end customer.

we'll see how you feel once steve pulls the shiniest gadget you've ever seen out of his pocket on monday ;)

we will all reply with "OH MY GOODNESS IT LOOKS EXCACTLY LIKE THE FIRST-GEN!!!"

then he lays it flat

"OH! ITS .03mm THINNER!!!!!!"

Everyone goes out to buy one :D

iPhone release date

June 20th, 2008,

With all the R U M O R S and BS flying around the net and the supposed firmware needing 2 weeks to go through the carrier, I am leaning on the 20th, if I am wrong I am wrong but from all the reading on here and other places and talking to AT&T corporate people, Monday is not looking good.

Even if it is Monday I will not be the one in line, than again I honestly do not think there will be any lines, NO reason for it and you still have people on here trying to sell there older models of the iPhone for ridiculous prices , allot of people are going to be S T U C K with old equipment.

I'll bet Apple put the new iPhones in the iMac boxes, and rocks in the brown boxes, in case anyone tries to steal new iPhones. This way, they'll grab the wrong box.

Apple is not going to have them available on Monday because they want hype surrounding the launch day. Normal people haven't been religiously checking all the Apple news and rumors sites for the past 2 months--so they need the information to go through the their media. I'm saying the following Friday at the earliest but my guess is Friday the 20th also.

I Believe!! 3G! I Believe!!

I believe those boxes are the 3G's + Apple (supposedly) has been sending them all secretly to their distributors for a while now. Checkmate. Oh June 9th could not come soon enough.

the above link talks about how Apple has been shipping the new iphone over here for over 2 months.

My guess is the announcement comes monday, available on friday (remember the AT&T blackout vacation days for employees?).

it's going to be a long weekend.

The article is a good one but I still am not sold on iPhone's been already sent to the majority of stores around the country already

I just don't....I think we would have caught wind of that already had it happened

My guess is still the Friday after your guess

But trust me, I hope you are right. I really do

Lol, that's what I am worried will happen. I am hoping for a complete redesign of the phone, not because there was something wrong with the 1st gen, just because I would like something different. Sadly I will be buying one regardless because the back of my iPhone looks like someone slammed against the edge of the table, due to the large dent in it. Thankfully it still works decently, but I'm worried it's days are wearing thin...

Seems like apple has done a good job keeping the 3G under cover considering the lengths people are going to get the scoop.

If Jobs pulls out a 3G iPhone and then also says these are shipping now he would have done a great job keeping them from coming out. Yes we have seen rumors but nothing confirmed and none in real world situation. If someone had one and released pic's you'd think they would want them to be the best they can and also have a fair few off them.

I applaud apple for managing to keep such tight security on their product launchs. When you think of how many people would be involved in the production of theses.

This is so spot-on!! I am bloody amazed that given all the interest; there has yet to be any credible picture/information about what Apple may release on Monday.

Kudos to Apple for keeping us guessing. I guess all their moles have been fired!

See, Occam's razor tells me that means they aren't on US soil yet except for the ones needed for FCC testing and network testing. It'd be easy to keep the testing company quiet (they'd never get any business ever again), and AT&T could lose $$ if they leak it.

Maybe a few phones for guys like Walt Mossberg.

Apple managed to get all the phones they needed to the US last year in a week by flying them over on cargo 747s (probably Cathay Pacific). A single 747 can hold somewhere on the order of 325,000 iPhones (242,000lb payload, at 0.75lbs per iPhone, once you factor in the pallet weight, box weight, etc). Fly a few over and you're set for the US launch.

Those boxes look like the box on the front page sent to the Aussies. They could be the new iPhones. Of course, a brown box is a brown box. Who knows!

When my iMac was delivered it came in a brown box inside a white box... I think these brown boxes are just iMacs that are packed ready for shipping. The white boxes are iMacs that will be customized before shipping.

I may be missing something here, however I thought Foxconn got the contract to manufacture the 3G iPhone, so why would Quanta have them?
