No speaker distortion, the sound is really loud but clear it just does vibrate internally inside when you crank it all the way up. I'm guessing it's because the device is so thin.

Yup, I am looking to see how the Pro vibrates since it has 4 speakers with alot more output. As long as the sound is clean, I hope the volume is so great that it vibrates my fingers touching the screen.

Today's announcement of the Google Pixel C is probably why Staples cleared out inventory of the iPad Air 2. Tegra X1 performance should be on par with A9X in iPad Prosumer.

I doubt that. People in the market for an Air 2 will not be swayed by an ANNOUNCEMENT of any Android tablet. I'm more likely to believe that Staples had a contract to sell "x" number of Air 2 units per quarter and was falling behind that number.

No it won't be. Android devices always look good in spec but get blown away n real world speed tests. I have got my hopes up so many times before with a Android being a iPad replacement only to be disappointed.
I would love to have a iPad counter tablet but even with no budget restrictions, I couldn't find any that really measure up to the iPad yet.

I remember staples the week before the sale had a sale for $100.00 off then the next week sale said $150.00 off I said this has to be a misprint and thought great I'll order and it will be wrong. I thought it was too good to be true. So glad I was wrong and it really was $150.00 off.

I'm really enjoying the Air 2. I wish more apps supported PIP and split screen but I know that will come in time.

Otherwise, completely satisfied, even though being initially disappointed by the launch-month build date.

Did we ever get confirmation what version of bluetooth we have? If I go into settings then about I see Bluetooth and some #'s but it's similar to same #'s in my wifi address so I don't think that will tell you what version you have?

I wasn't able to figure that out, either, and I don't see any dates for the Apple transition. It could have been last spring, or it could have been the day after the keynote, for all we know (or at least for all I can figure out right now).

Yeah I don't really see what the secret is all about its only Bluetooth lol Why so difficult to decipher?

To make matters worse, IIRC, BT 4.2 is a combination of hardware and firmware changes, so it may be that unless you can verify both you might not really know what you've got. The other side of this is that for most iPad users the differences between 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 aren't very significant.

I just got mine yesterday. I am a bit obsessed with making sure everything is perfect from a manufacturing standpoint.

I noticed my volume up and down have a little play compared to the power button which doesn't move. Anyone else experience this as well?

My power button requires a lot more force than I would like as i have to press it 1 or 2 times before it powers off which isn't normal.

Picked up 2 Gold Air 2's, last they had, at my local Staples store over the weekend. My wife and daughter LOVE them.
