Never has a film been as eagerly anticipated. Just hope it can live up to all the hype. Unfortunately I have a bad feeling about this!

I dont think it can get any worse than the last three that came out. I think that JJ is going to take us on a galactic ride.

The music alone has me ready to go. That epic theme, I am so ready for this.

Nice watch JJ.

Nice plane, ANA. :)

All Nippon Airways launches Star Wars-inspired Boeing Dreamliner

The force is strong with this airline.

All Nippon Airways this fall will roll out a 787-9 Dreamliner from the Boeing Co. with the paint scheme patterned after the popular Star Wars character R2-D2.

That will be just before the planned Christmas release of the latest film in the Star Wars series, “The Force Awakens,” which made waves Thursday with the release of the film’s second trailer.

The Japanese carrier has a special website that offers a look at the new plane.

ANA is the largest operator of 787s in the world. It was the Boeing’s (NYSE:BA) launch customer on the 787 program, and recently became the first Asian carrier to have all three models on its books following an order for the largest version, the coming 787-10.

Each of those planes, including the R2-D2 jet, have ties to Wichita.

The city’s largest employer, Spirit AeroSystems Inc. (NYSE: SPR), builds the forward fuselage and other components on the 787.

Those portions of the plane are flown from Wichita to Boeing assembly sites in either Washington state or South Carolina.

The 787 is one of Boeing’s and Spirit’s most important programs.

Production has been ramped up to the rate of 10 per month and Boeing’s delivery of 30 of advanced passenger jets in the first quarter put it on track to meet its annual delivery goal of 120 for 2015.

There is hope. Abrams produced and directed a most excellent Star Trek reboot. And after Episodes 1-3 there is only one way it can go! ;)
Ugh, I have to disagree with you on the quality of Star Trek reboots. They are decent by themselves, but frankly way to brainless and ill thought out by Star Trek standards. (then again, the same is true for all but one of the TNG movies)

But yes, it can't possibly be any worse than the prequels.

We'll have to disagree. Of note, I've been critical of just about every Star Trek movie before the 2009 reboot., but that is me. I thought the altered time line in the original reboot was creative. :)

And the fact that Kahn was turned into a brute who thought putting his friends into explosive tubes was a good idea? (And why the **** was Spock carrying that much "Red Matter", when he only needed a single drop?)

Yeah, it's basically what we went through in the 90s. And we all know what happened then...

Yeah, what happened was that George Lucas, a medicore director and horrible screenwriter, decided to direct and screenwrite the PT films himself.

JJ Abrams, on the other hand, understands what made the old Spielberg and Lucas films so great in the 80s. Especially Super 8 gave me chills, an excellent hommage to CE3K.

TFA will blow the socks off the PT trilogy. Can't wait to see it on opening night.

George Lucas did direct A New Hope which was nominated for 11 oscars including best director+picture. But yeah I agree, the prequel trilogy is trash. I highly doubt this will be as bad as that.

George Lucas can do great things when he is reigned in by the studio and everyone involved. The problem with the prequels, especially the first one, is that people weren't brave enough to tell him "no, this isn't going to work".
