Oh yea, and she (Carrie) is probably old enough to be a granny to most of the folks here :p
I don't know about the grandmother bit.

She was born October 21, 1956, so she will be 52 in October.

But back in 1977, when "Star Wars" was released, she was all of 22 and a very nice 22 at that! :D

I'd love to see the story lines in some of the books written using the character set both long before the Lucas movies and long after made into movies or even a TV show.

The novels are amazing. I have 70 of them.

I want to see the Thrawn trilogy turned into movies; the books Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command.

Thrawn is my favorite villain, ever.

Oh, and his full name is Mitthrawnuruodo. Sound familiar to anyone here?

Okay, so I want to watch all 6 movies.

But in what order?

A. The way they were made.

B. The order of the series.

Tough call for me. Help me decide.

I call A. :p Seriously, watching them in "episode order" would spoil some events from eps IV-VI, and much of what interest eps I-III have is in providing background to eps IV-VI rather than the stories themselves, which are...not so great. (Although I have to admit I like ep III better than VI.) Of course, watching eps IV-VI first would spoil some events from eps I-III, but it's better that way...you're "meant" to have those spoilers....

I think that you've pretty much captured my quandary.

And now the thread goes in a disturbingly different direction

Well, I decided to watch them in series order (I --> VI).

For IV through VI I am going to watch the updated versions.

Normally, I watch the original versions since I grew up with them so to speak. But the updated ones seem to fit better due the special effects.

I wish someone would just pick up where Lucas left off and keep making the movies. F it, make like twenty more of em' !

I want the Tv show too!

Give them to me immediately
*shudder*. To this day, whenever I hear someone say "that bit the bag", that show comes to mind.

Finally, someone speaking some sense.:D

And for those who want more, here is the trailer for The Clone Wars: The Animated Series
http://starwars.com/video/view/000478.html

That trailer looks great. :D The only thing is, we sort of know what happens. I mean there's a scene where Anakin is battling Dooku, obviously nobody is going to die. Unless they bring in some disposable enemies, but still we know Obi-Wan & Anikan can't die. :p I mean they can probably kill off that girl assassin character. But that's about it. I'll still watch it though. ;)

Yeah, I'm glad that they are still continuing the Star Wars universe on screen.
It means alot to us slightly older members. The original films helped shape a generation.

Now that I've viewed them this way, I think this was a good way to do it.

Going in series order with the updated IV-VI versions made it seem to flow pretty good. Although there are some slightly disjointed parts it worked well.

On a side note, I also enjoy watching the first three (IV-VI) in original format. Kind of nostalgic that way.
