I initiated the original replacement through Apple chat. They assigned me a senior advisor who I have been working with. He gave me his email and phone number. When i received the replacement today, I checked for issues and emailed him telling him I was still having the same issues plus now a yellow screen. He said to send the replacement back to Apple.


Apple chat like under warranty ? I only fine for sales /./
 
I have a 7 (not plus) and can confirm significant white noise when recording in silent environments.

I am not willing to exchange just yet, mostly because 1) supply for the jet black is constrained; 2) I see no significant proof that the newer models are free of this defect; and 3) the phone is otherwise perfect.

Can you post a screenshot of your yellow screen? Just curious to see if mine does that also. Is it real yellowish?

You've sent him a screenshot of your screen in order to show yellowing. You know that a screenshot doesn't in any way represent the physical screen of the device on which it was taken, right? It's a digital capture. If you want to show yellowing, you need to take a photo of the screen…

Hah yep you're right. Not enough sleep on my end. That's what happens with a 2 month old lol
 
I have the similar issue. 7+, Week 36. I also have a touch screen issue. Left bottom center section doesn't respond to touch well. Sigh.
 
Is it best to just wait till Apple has better stock or do they expedite new replacements? I have 9 days left to call/ask for new one just cause of static noise

I got a replacement and it arrived at the store in like 2 days, so it's pretty quick.
 
i exchanged my gold 7 plus today due to the static noise on the recordings I've done. got the replacement and still have the same problem....ugh. i'm going to wait until apple announces the problem and a fix. i hate to go through a lot of iPhones to find the best one. i hope they announce something, soon.

The issue we may run into is that apple may keep quiet and fixed the issue with new phone production as they have in the past. Im hoping that they do the right thing and acknowledge it and offer a fix or solution.

thank you. never thought of that. i will call in to the support center and open a case on it, but i won't do anything with the case for a couple of weeks and then exchange it and hope for a good one.
 
I don't mean to be negative and I know that people with issues tend to be louder than the ones without...but...after taking part in almost every iPhone launch, I have to say that this one has been, by far, the most frustrating/disappointing.

Anyone get replacements that fix the issue? I got a replacement (right after I dropped the phone and chipped the case...whoops) and it still had the video audio issues.
