Static Noise when recording videos.

They ran a diagnostic and said everything was fine. Now they are connecting me to a senior Advisor.
Week 37 and got this static noise too while recording, tried with EarPods and without, but static noise is in both...but have to put the phone on max volume to hear it.
Interesting thing is, I just tried it on my old 5s and there is this noise too! Seems really strange.
And this static noise while recording is constant and no drips or stops like some of you experienced, its throughout the whole video :/

No mine is just with normal recording. As long as youre in a quite area you can definitely hear it. One of the reviewers on youtube - Erica Griffin - also noticed the issue on her review unit.
Essentially the same thing for me. So when youre in a quite setting and recording you hear the high pitched static/humming/hissing. When recording with my Ipad or 6plus no such issue.
Same here but it is still a concern. The senior advisor said they will most likely send me a replacement.
Same here for me. I can only hear it if it's totally quiet in the room. I recorded another video with background noise and you can't hear the static sound. Still going to apple today after work regardless
So the Senior Advisor just called me back. He was trying to express ship me a new phone but since it is in the first 14 days, he is unable to. So by the looks of it, the phone definitely needs to be replaced by Apple. This morning when I talked to him, he said I was the first person to bring it to his attention but has been receiving multiple updates saying that more and more people are reporting it. He is currently trying to see what will be the quickest way to replace. I sent him a sample video showing the static noise.
just been onto apple chat support. jumped through all the hoops of restoring the phone etc etc. Problem whilst video recording on both front and back cameras but no static sound when recording a voice memo so I'm a little baffled...?
