What will Steve do next? Jobs I mean. We know what Ballmer will do next - whatever Jobs is doing now.
By the time Ballmer actually makes the attempt, it will be whatever Jobs was doing then.

I'm sitting out the iPad Revolution until RevB, but it will be exciting to observe in the meantime.
I'll be getting the Wi-Fi version now, and will gift it as soon as RevB makes an appearance. There are some great apps slated to be surfacing this month, and I don't seem have the fortitude to observe them from a distance. :)

The iPad really bugs me for the reasons that many people like it. I don't want to have emotional attachment to a device and the iPad is just a tool. When did we start interacting with things instead of with people? Don't get me wrong, I like technology but I would much rather have good relationships with my friends and family than with an inanimate "magical" device.

Its for the same reason why girls likes virators...dude
don't get me wrong
but they still don't have a emotional attachement to it
ask your girlfriend, when you get one:p

The trolls still rage about the iPhone 2 1/2 years later, despite it being a smashing success.

Though their stunned silence at Microsoft's "no copy/paste, no multitasking, single Microsoft-controlled app store in WinPho7Series" announcement was delicious.

A massive blow for the trollhardy. :p

Apple laptops are clearly better builds than low-end Acers and HPs (HP was a great brand 10+ years ago - Fiorina fixed that), but they're no great shakes.

I have a non-low-end HP laptop (employer supplied) that falls into MBP pricing range. Yet it's leagues below in build quality, design and appearance.

Upon seeing all the positive iPad and HTML5 news, a lot of the trolls have left.

They haven't left, they're just waiting for revised talking points from the mothership (Redmond).

People who had no interest in Apple simply wouldn't be posting here.

The net's not a conspiracy of trolls - like communists and terrorists, they're bogeymen to dismiss a dissenting viewpoint.

Your two theories are contradictory, as there are many who have no interest in Apple (evident by their endlessly derogatory commentary) posting on MacRumors 24x7. One need no paranoia, just a little rational thinking, to see hints of conspiracy after all.

Ummm - let me see.

Stephen Fry - loves Apple, invited to the launch, use Apple products extensively and tries to get all his staff to use them and then writes a gr8 review in the item.

Sorry - i love all things Apple but surely some of you have some credability left and know when someone virtually conducts an 'advertorial'. Bit like a politician getting lobbied from a company and having campaign funds donated and lo and behold he supports some amazing legislation for them.

There have also been a number of so so and sit on the fence reviews as well - at the end of the day the only review that matters is the one you do when you use the machine yourself. Suspect all others...

Well this was back in the 19th century, such incidents of child molestation would go largely unaccounted for so we'll never know, it is heresy otherwise isn't it?

Or...maybe your just a homophobe with a chip on your shoulder. I too have never heard that he was a kiddy fiddler - he was arrested and jailed after the father of the guy (the guy was over 18) protested to the police when his son had an affair with Oscar (like most fathers prolly couldnt accept his son might has been just as much an instigator as well) and the continuance of a family argument.

"No interest in Apple" doesn't follow from "endlessly derogatory commentary". Precisely the opposite follows. You can't hate what you don't want to love - you just wouldn't care either way.

Apple are a company who have the opportunity to do so much better, technically speaking, but end up chasing the mid-low end mass market with their iToys.

One need no paranoia, just a little rational thinking, to see hints of conspiracy after all.
Are you actually declaring that there is an anti-Apple conspiracy on these forums? Are there leaders? Do they have a base? Are they being paid?
