The Galaxy Fold phones are revolutionary.
Nope, not at all. As soon as Apple copies Galaxy Fold and releases the iPhone Fold in 2027 it will be revolutionary, even if the 2027 iPhone Fold will be worse than the 2027 Galaxy Fold. You know, anything revolutionary can only be from Apple and Apple only, no matter how crappy it is. :p

Satellite connectivity anyone? Crash detection? Brighter display? Always on display? Bluetooth LE? Those are just a few things that this article fails to include in addition to the amazing camera upgrades and the dynamic island ingenuity.
“No innovation!”

People are incredibly ignorant. They point out that Huawei has a pill shaped cutout so the iPhones pill shaped cutout is “nothing new”.

🙄

Just wait until she sees what Apple release next year! It will be the most incredible iPhone Apple has ever released! The iPhone will have the the best camera Apple has ever released, the best screen Apple has ever made, the fastest phone processor Apple has ever made, the most powerful phone GPU Apple has ever made, the most premium materials Apple has ever used, etc.

This is based on the idea that all people that get a 14 had a 13. I would love to see a chart that shows how many are coming from a 12, and 11, a X, etc, becuase I suspect far more people upgrade every 2-4 years rather than every year.

Well, she's not wrong when you're talking about the regular 14. It's essential the 13 Pro without the promotion and the telephoto camera.

Probably the same people that said making the new watch "Ultra" was copying Samsung like they invented the word "Ultra"

TBH, what is there to mock?

Each iteration does NOT have to be a major upgrade from the previous model. Iterations can be improvements upon the past which this one -- iPhone 13 Pro to iPhone 14 Pro -- certainly is. For someone going from say the iPhone Xs to iPhone 14 Pro, this is a nicer jump than say going from iPhone Xs to iPhone 13 Pro. So what is there to mock?

The only thing to mock, perhaps, is if "you" (generic you) feels a necessity that each upgrade must be one that YOU feel you should upgrade to. That thinking/feeling is perhaps something to "mock"?

It's like, the obsession with major upgrades is less of a reflection on the company and more of a reflection upon the one making that an obsession.

The problem wasn't if she was right or wrong. It's the fact that she publicly crapped on her dead father's legacy that probably paid for her house and cars. It's a spoiled brat, rebellious move that will probably lead to her being blacklisted at Apple. When and if Apple starts going under, she will probably be the first cheerleader trying to pump them back up to keep that money flowing.

She should be embarrassed!

She’s not wrong, iPhone 14 is indeed very boring, Apple Watch Ultra kinda stole the show. If Steve is alive, he’d say things that are far worse about Apple’s current product lineups. Even the keynote nowadays feels more like a show than deep interaction with Apple’s customers. As an Apple fan since iPhone 4, I have to provide honest feedbacks.

“The base iPhone 14 model is actually almost identical to the 13,” said Melanie Pinola, a senior writer and editor on the smartphone beat at Consumer Reports.

Based on what Pinola saw at Wednesday’s unveiling, it appears that the iPhone 14 has the same display, processor, overall design and the same battery as the 13. “If you have a 13, I don’t know if I would switch to a 14 this year,” Pinola said. “There are small improvements with the 14, but I wouldn’t say I would rush out right now.”

It's about crapping on your dead father's legacy that paid for your lifestyle and the name alone got her into modeling as she is no model. If she was so unhappy with the product offering, talk with Tim and team behind the scenes versus doing a public "look at me" attention move. I'd put money that someone near her manipulated her to post that tweet because her last name would make it newsworthy and ironic.

Could’ve said the same thing about X to XS to 11 to 12 to 13. No one iteration has been that profound in the past 5 years. That’s the symptom of a mature market for a product.
Apart from its not, it’s a symptom of Apple trying to maximise returns on minimal effort. They’ve used the same phone cases for the past 3 models, that means no design costs for them so even more profit per handset.

The only reason we have the “Dynamic Island” is because they needed a way to differentiate the previous model. We went from 12 to 13 and got a smaller notch to show the difference, now we go from notch to “dynamic island”. The tech is there and mature enough to use under screen technology instead but they’re holding that back for a future iPhone when they absolutely have to iterate more. If I were to hazard a guess the 15 will see a design refresh, and then the 16 will see the same phone without any kind of intrusive element at the top of the screen.

It says a lot that the biggest talking point for a lot of people is either a cut out to the screen, or a new phone colour.

Prove it. The current phones using under screen cameras have poor cameras. And there is no comparable FaceID tech working under a screen. So how do you know this tech exists?

No. The design refresh is the pill shape notch. No way they are throwing that out the window for an even newer look.
