RIP Steve. It is really a very sad day for all of us. I just hope that Tim and Co. will carry on with your legacy and will continue to revolutionize and innovate technology.

It's been said when a large star dies, it shines really bright and then creates a hole in the universe, a dent if you will. Today one of the largest stars in the tech universe burned out. In the end Steve got what he wanted, he left a dent in the universe.

The world has lost one of the most influential people history has and will ever see, we'll miss you Steve.

Even knowing this day would come, words fail me...

Steve,
Thank you for inspiring my life. May your next journey be as bold as this one. Rest my friend.

My heart goes out to Steve's wife, children, family and friends.
Find comfort in each other and peace in his memories.

TTE

Yes, he helped change the world, and here I sit typing on this iPad surrounded by my own reality distortion field, I guess it must be from owning Macs all these years. Rest in Peace Steve Jobs.

A great post by Mossberg..worth a read..
RIP Steve.
:apple:

That was quite a read. Thanks for posting it. And the Stanford Commencement Speech, equally something to read - and equally something we all should remember.

I've been using Apple products for as long as I can remember, from the earliest Apple IIs with their green screens and the IIGs, through to the Performas of the PowerMac era and then iMacs, PowerMac G4, G5, and now Mac Pro. They've changed and shaped the way I use computers - and what I expect from a computer.

And iPhone certainly changed the way I communicate. I rarely touch a computer for email, I do it by phone, it's faster and easier.

I never got to meet him in person - wish I had, if anything - to say a simple and honest thankyou.

You were an exceptional human being, Steve. Thank you for your drive, for your determination, for your vision, ... for being you.

My condolences to Steve's family.

Sad day. The computer/phone/technology community would not have been what they are today without Mr. Jobs. He believed in his vision and in Apple.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Jobs family.

Father of all, we pray to you for Steve, and for all those whom
we love but see no longer. Grant to them eternal rest. Let
light perpetual shine upon them. May his soul and the souls
of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
Amen.

RIP Steve. :apple:

Steve, you were a great role model to many.

Thank you for being my inspiration. You will be missed by many.

Steve, I have never been so inspired by someone I haven't met before, than by you. Likewise, I have never felt the sorrow I feel now about the passing away of someone I didn't know.

I'm truly astonished at how much Facebook and the news is blowing up over this. Really is quite nice. I can really feel a since of sorrow amount america tonight.

Steve Jobs will never be forgotten for his contributions, determination and creativeness. He will be remembered for changing how society interacts, no small task.
Everyone that has ever had the pleasure of trying Steve Jobs creations truly is saddened by the loss of this great man.

Wow, how sad is that?

I'm certainly going to miss you Steve! You always gave the best keynotes and your passion drove Apple to where it is today.

I hope Apple can continue along Steve's path and keep making quality products.

I think I remember Jobs saying that Tim Cook has a similar drive and that extra strive for perfection that Steve had, so I'm optimistic.
