I heartily second that! But then the Mac Pro may be delayed by Intel shortages and will be updated some random Tuesday without any fanfare.

Even if production is delayed, if they show a new model with new specs and we know something imminent is in the pipe, that will work for me.

Mba

May be he is introducing MBA with A4 chip in it :) After, WWDC, we will see a bunch of netbooks with ARM chip from other manufacturers.

Edit: I do have a MBA rev a, it can't even play Video properly. iPad does.

Perhaps Steve will announce Flash support on WWDC!?!?!

That's the only way for me not to be disappointed...

Otherwise Android clearly >>> iOS

:)

What do you expect the CEO of a corporation to say... "Yeah, sorry, but the planned WWDC lineup is really going to stink up the place this year."

I also don't get why people keep expecting these amazing products to come out of a developers conference, and then whine if/when they're not satisfied. That's not Apple's fault; that's simply unrealistic expectations. If Apple announces something important then, it's basically gravy.

All in good fun chaps/just pulling your leg dude?

Honestly rednecks and guy ritchie don't help either side.

I think we should, they are so retarded, just because in movies they make english people sound like they did in like the 1960's :L

Well to be fair, British people do tend to have horrendous teeth compared to our American counterparts. After all, stereotypes are just exaggerated observations. :)

All I can say is "won't be disappointed" better include Mac Pros.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that train has left the station. Apple is putting all their eggs on one basket, and that basket is called the iPhone OS.

(Ya I know, too many mixed metaphors.)

I don't get why people feel the need to curse at Steve Jobs all the time hahaha. Even in praise, there's no need for that kind of language. If I were the head of a major corporation like that, I would just completely disregard any e-mail like that. If you can't converse without cursing, stick to Facebook messaging.

I agree, too.

People send him pointless crap like this. I mean come on, is it really necessary? It's so unprofessional.

True, but the point is, he didn't have to respond at all. So the fact he did does imply that he thinks there's some significant news happening there, otherwise he would say nothing because he surely understands all these email responses become public quickly.

I hope its look close to this :

Ooh, I like! (except for the round buttons and the breaks in the side casing)

Where did you come across these images? Are they photoshop mockups, renderings, or leaked photos?

I wonder if a completely new Apple TV running on the iPhone OS will be introduced, with apps/games being available on it. It could become a gaming console if the hardware is good enough, and you could use the iDevices as controllers/input. Maybe that Apple patent where you could attach a game controller to a iPod Touch and use its screen as a info display for games will show up.

Actually WTH am I talkin about. :(

I think it's important for Americans to remember that the iPhone is an international device and plenty of us are using it on different international carriers with zero problems.

Please point out the exact words or phrases the poster used which would cause you to think he doesn't know the iPhone is a international device? He merely just asked for a new carrier in the U.S.

That said, the U.S. purchases more iPhones than any other country in the world and we are tied to a substandard carrier. Therefore, I think it is not ignorant to think a new U.S. carrier announcement may happen at the WWDC, which, by the way, is happening in the U.S.

. . .

Apple is the only tech outfit that actually is able to create excitement and anticipation, precisely BECAUSE their products are worth getting excited over.

....

Apple has great design, but Android is giving it a good run with 2.2.

I am assuming at WWDC Jobs will announce MobileMe as a free service, to play catch up to Google's cloud (although MobileMe sucks comparatively).

Steve will probably also present front-facing camera, LED flash and 720p on the iPhone, and all the fanboys will think Apple invented all those things (Android already has them).

The problem for Apple is that there is a slew of Tegra 2 and Atom D6 phones and tablets coming out in the next few months, all with Android 2.2 and all with great browsers with full web capability (including Flash).

So Steve can rally the troops, and fanboys like you will get weak at the knees, but the fact is, this is the last great year for the iPhone.

And because of Steve's arrogance and greed, I am kind of glad at this humiliation.

Hi guys.

I sent this email to Steve and got the response. Didn't really expect this "news" to become a discussion on cursing, british people, myself, macbook pros or apple hating.

Take it for what it is, just a little tidbit of what is possible coming at WWDC as we all like to speculate because it makes the waiting more fun.

Regards

p.s I use Gmail because I like it, I also moved my company with 300+ users across to Google apps recently. I like Google but I don't like Android even after trying out an Android phone recently (HTC Desire) and I don't like the verbals against Apple the Android team were coming out with at Google I/O

A friend of mine just got the HTC 'Incredible' and after playing with it Apple has some work to do. A couple things Droid has built in:

1.) voice to text. How can Apple NOT have this?
2.) GPS turn by turn voice commands. With Apple you have to buy an app.
3.) Bluetooth on/off in a single touch.

And these are just a few. Am I the only one hoping Apple includes these FREE in 4.0?

1. Dragon Dictation handles this extremely well, and I'm surprised that Apple hasn't made them an offer for DD and Dragon Search.

2. AT&T probably won't allow this when they can just hawk their own Navigator app on you.

3. That sounds pretty nice.

It seemed to me that GoogleTV was announced well before it is due to ship. Perhaps they are preempting an AppleTv announcement. - I hope so.

won't be disappointed = the new iPhone + new Mac Pro + new iMac + new cinema display + new AppleTV

come on - gesture to lure or entice.
common - occurring, found or done often

Learn your grammar while you yawn.

True but I like to forgive it when people say "common people" - it was a great song!

Anyway, I hadn't seen those pics of all the coloured iPhones, very nice choices IMO, I'm certainly thinking I'll go white if at least that comes to fruition.

And one that has a shaver built in ... that's what I'm waiting for :D.

As for Macs, pro or otherwise, I feel we will be disappointed.

For real?

Wwdc Keynote...

HOW THIS YEAR'S WWDC KEYNOTE WILL GO...

STEVE: "...I bring you the new iPhone."

Plays video of Jason Chen and that Vietnamese dude dissecting the iPhone...

STEVE: "Any questions? Thank you all for coming and the new iPhone will be out in two weeks."

STEVE: "Oh, and one more thing..."

We've seen a few hardware photos and a few screen shots of OS 4, but I'm sure there is A LOT that we still haven't seen.

If you remember the WWDC when Apple unveiled OS 2.0 and the iPhone 3G, there were "hundreds" of new features.

Can you (or anyone else) point out features that were found on the introduction of the 3GS at the WWDC that we didn't already know about from firmware's 3.0's GM? I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just wonder.
