NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was hoping Tim cook would get drunk and let Adobe flash slide in, but with Steve... that hope is lost.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tough luck. Tim wouldn't do that anyway. ;)

What do we know about the iphone5? I feel like there's not a whole lot out there that's known about the iphone5.

We know that it will be more powerful that the iphone 4 :p we know it will deal with any and all antenna issues once and for all. We know that it will have a new IOS. Or at least we speculate most of these things to be true. :D

We also know or speculate that this year could be the year Apple twice in one year refreshes a product (ipad). Will it really happen, maybe since Apple is good at making us stress and then bring out stuff we drool and can't live without. Who know next iPhone will just type stuff for you as you talk, keyboard could become something just for fixing problems with our accent :D.

As for computers, my wife just got her latest Dell laptop from work, a very nice top of the line bla bla bla and her 2 year old mac pro is still what she will be taking to do work, what a piece of dark mass  is all she said :)

So for those that ask is Apple even making computers, yes they are and they are still great products, sure not the latest and greatest but even the mac mini is a great product when to put that hardware with the elegant and well design OS X.

"Could care less?" Obviously any reasonable person buys a product for quality and not for its company's CEO, but I don't wish illness on anyone, less a visionary like Mr. Jobs, so I'm glad that he's healthy enough to continue working.

Great news, hope he gets better! :)

Well said, I can't see Apple even without Steve not coming out with great products for a long time. There is this idea that Apple will just go down the tube if Steve is not around, I doubt that will happen.

Perhaps either or both of you would have far more humanity if you had gone through a health crisis remotely approaching what Steve and his family are experiencing.

Many of us are both interested and pleased to learn that Steve's health is good enough to be active - we hope for his recovery. Nothing to do with that article and the desire to purchase products.

Steve will just have to run the company until he dies, whenever that is. Tim is good, but not as good as Steve. I hope he pulls through, he's responsible for so many industries.

iOS devices have been getting a lot of attention and are quite innovative....but Mac has been slightly lagging in comparison...I hope mac and osx (perhaps with 10.7) will catch up soon

Best wishes for Steve's good health.

Kind of odd that they reference the iPad 2. You'd think that thing was already wrapped up and in production. What kind of final tweaks would be available at this late date?

I wish they would announce the iPad 2 already. I have a project at work I am in charge of that will require me to purchase 500+ and I am getting antsy.

It's funny this came out in a Murdoch newspaper after Apple's stock's four minute $10 billion crash related to the health rumor. I guess putting it in The Daily would have been too obvious. I'm not saying it's not true, but it sounds like information Apple released press release style, and the WSJ published it as straight news.

Yes, a coincidence indeed.
