Moaners and whiners about the Mac "lagging" are stuck in 1998. Lion is coming. Along with a Mac refresh at the usual time. And as usual, they'll sell like crazy.

The iPad *is* a computer. Get used to it, because it foretells the future of "computer." for everyone.

I find this strange too. This is obviously not news, so what's it doing in a newspaper. This "news" is exactly what Jobs said in the letter to his employees. If they truly think this is news, then readers of the WSJ must be incredibly ignorant.

I'm hoping he will give the WWDC keynote this year. No offense to Mr. Schiller, but Steve does a much better job at giving keynotes. Just sayin'. ;)

MBP's become Macbooks , then the new pros get actual killer graphics and quad cores. You know... options.

Mac Tower

Mac Pro gets a killer graphics card.

USB 3 and lightpeak

X-serve returns

Blu ray BTO options.

Jobs goes into Coma and Apple makes even more profit.

I would rather flash go away though, but web designers are going to ride that forever.

EDIT: No I dont want Steve to go in a coma. Would like to see what I listed though.

If you could "care less" that means you care more right now??? Your words don't match what you're trying to say.

I think you meant you could NOT care less... correct? Meaning you really don't care about Stevie at all. Sort of harsh considering what he is dealing with. In addition, what are you doing here? This site is for people that could care less, but they really don't.

Except for people who want to do things. My iPad is ok, but it's certainly nowhere near a good mac or windows desktop. Sorry. The desktop will always be around in some way because of productivity needs. And yes, the Mac lags hard compared to PC's. Our new work PC's are more powerful than my 2010 Mac Pro, and they were 850 bucks.

Unfortunately, the facts are the facts. Pancreatic cancer, surgery, organ transplant. The time is close. However I look forward to all the releases Apple has planned, although I am skipping this iPhone revision.

Right. My first computer had 10 digits. Still use it during power failures.
 
I seriously can't even imagine what it is going to be like when he finally has to turn the helm over to someone else. I'm not even going to think about that now.

Thirty years ago you could have substituted "IBM Selectric" for "desktop" in your above statement. But one day typewriters were an indispensable productivity tool and the next day, they were gone.

Most people can't see the next big thing coming. Just sayin'.

Fixed.

"Everyone" does not want or would ever consider a crippled iPad as their main computer. The everyday, barely able to use a computer folks? Sure.

I know you are drunk on the kool-aid 24/7, but man, think for yourself some time.

The iPhone5 will look much like a fudgesicle. They're gonna promote it as "phone on a stick". There will be no way to hold it wrong and a heck of a lot easier to get out of your pants pocket.

It will also have the ability to sense alcohol and peanut shells, and will scream bloody murder if it should fall out of your pocket in a bar.

an undocumented feature that is still under consideration will cause Android phones within proximity to disconnect.

Cant Steve take a Break so we can maybe get some features we want slipped through without his temper tantrums and silly old grudges getting in the way of Development.

Take a load of Steve. The company will be fine without you.
