AHHHHH ... that explains why he is always dressed in black.

Apparently they didn't get the message back in 1945 when the United States conducted two atomic bombings against the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan. That's it were going to ****ing bomb you now. **** you Japan. There's a secret I must let out now, there's a government official name Michael Houle, he's from the pentagon and he's there to spy on you.

and, of course, with his sense of entitlement, Jobs thinks he is above the law and airport security procedure....

Well, to some degree perhaps But how much of that statement stems from some sort of resentment or jealousy towards Jobs due to his wealth/success? I wonder. Lest we forget here that airport security IS utterly ridiculous. Perhaps not top to bottom, but **** like this IS entirely inane. Like Jobs or hate him, at least admit what the reality of it is. Like Carlin said, airport security keeps "white people feeling safe". Obviously not all white people are xenophobic, et al (including Jobs, who clearly was just visiting another culture). The scrutiny people face at these places is a bit much. The powers that be seem to be forget that many people walk amongst us who could kill people with their bare hands.

Security Theatre isn't about safety. If you really think some terrorist is going to takeover a commercial plane with a couple of throwing stars, maybe you should watch less TV.

Hey, the TSA routinely thinks that I'm going to take over a plane with the file on my nail clipper -- had to break it off because it kept being a problem for them. I swear, soon they're going to say we have to wear togas and slippers on planes because you can throw your shoes at people and then strangle them with your shirt.

Its not a rumor or anything about macs/idevices but if you see your self as an apple fan and show interest in rumors about their products, I find it really hard to believe that you find this piece of news as unwanted.

I'm not a fan of Apple, I'm a user of their products which is interested about rumors about Macs, not gossip about their CEO.

This isn't a fansite for Steve Jobs, it's a site for users of Apple products.

Anyone remember AtAT?

This really makes me miss good old "As the Apple Turns" even more — Jack Miller would have mined this for all the comedy gold in there. After all, he did have a running gag about Apple's black-clad ninja warriors attacking rumor sites.

he owns the jet he can bring anything he wants on it (legal of course). bad move on japan, i guess they wont be seeing any new apple products anytime soon... and yes unruly board meetings need Ninja stars!

Once again, someone posts without understanding the "little" details. Here, let me re-quote the most intelligent post yet:

So private jet passengers must go through security and are subject from the same security rules. What's going to stop a terrorist who rented a private jet from bringing a gun or knife past security (after all, it's his private jet) but then giving it to another terrorist buddy flying commercial past the security check?

Ninja stars? "Never visiting Japan again!"

What, is Jobs 15 years old or something?

I guess that would explain a few things...

News exclusive from Osaka airport, Japan:

"No iJack this year", says Apple CEO Steve Jobs. "Why would we do it? It makes no sense!".

When pressed for comments afterwards, airport security officials were found to be "star struck"..

As others have pointed out: In the pre-iPod era, there was an extremely large overlap between these two groups, and I suspect quite of MR's readers started reading the site at that time.

Personally, I'm not a Jobs fanboy by a long shot (he seems to be a major pain to deal with), but I do find this news more interesting (and amusing) than the random app reviews which occasionally appear here, as well.

Oh, I didn't realize it was your website.

Personally I find this more interesting (even though it is Jobs' own business, and not ours) than iPad news.

And there's the rub. If you read the article (which you obviously didn't), you'd see he had to go through the airport security and boarding area, at which point weapons are prohibited. So it wasn't legal for him to have them.
