I agree with Jobs. That IS insane. If I wanted to bring an M16 and 10,000 rounds of ammo onto my private jet, who the hell are the Japanese or anyone for that matter to say that I can't. It's my freakin' plane. I could run it into the ground and that'll do a lot more damage than any ninja throwing stars might.
On one hand, Jobs has a very good point: Only the zero-tolerance/zero-intelligence policies of the security theater that takes place at airports these days would prevent him from taking something like this with him on his own plane.
On the other hand, it shows how removed from everyday life Jobs (or anyone at his level of wealth and power) is, to assume that he wouldn't/shouldn't have to deal with this nonsense.
Apparently, he's used to it, driving around a car for years with no license plates on it and all....![]()
as already commented in the other thread, this would only apply if private jets had a separate boarding area from other flights, which this airport doesn't have.
so the actions of security where perfectly justified in this case.
Your point two stands.
Well, if Scott Forstall's twitter account news made it to the first page, then why not this? LOLPage Two rumour/gossip?
That'd be Apple's loss, not Japan's.I think he should not only not visit Japan ever again, but stop selling Apple in Japan. That will teach them...
Seems like Jobs got a taste of his own medicine...buying iApple products and being forced to do things a certain way and/or being told something is unacceptable (an app rejection).
