Large doses daily of Chinese Tonic herbs (especially Reishi Mushroom) and cayenne pepper tincture along with conventional treatment.

But you have to start early enough.

Sorry but I have to disagree on this and wish people wouldn't spread this 'knowledge'. I will be willing to change my mind if you can present peer-reviewed scientific studies that back up this claim. However, I do not expect you to be able to produce this evidential support for your claim.

anyone see that new picture just released? steve looks really sick, he weighs like 80 pounds now.

absolute nonsense.

homeopothy and alternative medicine has either not been proven to work at all, or been proven not to work.

do you know what alternative medicine is called when it has been proven to work? medicine.

It is definitely because of his worsening health. Have a look at this.

:(

Yeah, i saw that too. Was even worse than i expected. And, in this light the statement in this article is just a load of bull - which makes me even more worried. Obviously, for some reason, they felt that they needed to lie about it. Wonder if hell make it to the end of the year.

Times like this i realize that money is far from all. God bless.

Days now, maybe weeks..... thats all.

Very sad.

Those of us who have lost friends or relatives to cancer will recognise from that photo that he is near the end. I think that people should get as mentally prepared as they can for that and say a prayer for him & his family in whatever way you do.

And maybe start to think about how things might change in the industry, as this will inevitably affect the entire apple family in many ways , whether we like to admit it or no...... so... sad but hopeful i guess sums it up. Lets hope everyone makes the right decisions....

Steve Jobs I wish you the best and I want to thank you for everything you did, everything you believed in and opening our minds and eyes and teaching us to think different. As you once quoted a magazine "Stay hungry, stay foolish".

Whether it is in your country, but its an unlawful offence in the UK claim that such drugs and treatments can help cure Cencer..

Those items which came from nature which were proven to work were refines, tested, mass producted and became modern day pharmaceuticals. The rest of the junk became pot pourri and Chinese medicine.

My father had pancreatic cancer, and he looked exactly the same at the end, unbelievably thin - went from 230 to about 130, and, at the end, nearly incoherent due to all the medications one is on at that stage in order to ease the severe pain.

To me, this looks like anyone who is at the end of their battle with this horrific disease. I'd venture to say the guy with him is his caretaker, and that he is wearing that outfit because at that point he just wants to be comfortable. Frankly, if he is coherent at this point, I'd venture to say he does not really care about what he wears. For those d-bags joking on tmz, I hope they do not experience such an awful, slow and painful death. Thanks Steve for all you have brought into this world.

I saw those pictures on the day they were posted and I wondered if anyone would post them here. I also wondered if this website would allow anyone to post either the photos or the link. Mr. Jobs, there aren't many people who can honestly say that they helped to change the world. Thank you.

This isn't photos being circulated on the Internet. This is more like the time that the National Enquirer published of him exiting a Cancer Center. Which a lot of people here said were fake.

Photos who turned out to be genuine.

Why would TMZ edit the photos, what would they get from it? Does TMZ has a history of editing photos? Look at their site, they really aren't trying to milk having photo for money.

People hating Jobs might decide to doctor photos and spread them on the Internet. But why would TMZ hate Jobs? And why would they risk things by editing the photo?
----
Having worked in the media for over 30 years I can tell you that all manner of things could have happened to this photo. It may have been altered by the person selling it to TMZ (and it also appeared in some Australian newspapers) to increase its value, it may have been altered by an agency selling it on behalf of its owner, or it may have been altered by the first media organisation to use it. Certainly to me -and I've worked with images for many, many years - parts of this picture look questionable, to say the least.

The big question though, surely is - who was this "friend" of Steve who allowed the image, whether subsequently photoshopped or not, to get out into the wild? Shame on him.

I have no idea if those pictures were photoshopped or not, but I feel that it is wrong to blame the guy that is standing there beside Jobs. It looks to me like he needs to stay where he is in case Steve falls. And how do we know that he wasn't simply surprised? And another thing, if those pictures are legitimate, then Apple has not been honest with stockholders. And that might even be a crime. I seriously doubt that Steve will be able to do whatever it is that a Chairman of the Board actually does. But who knows, maybe his mind is still as sharp as the proverbial tack! That isn't likely though, if he is as bad off as these pictures suggest, then he is heavily medicated to control the pain. I am not one of those people that think that Steve Jobs is some kind of god or deity to be worshipped as some on this board seem to do, but I do hope that he isn't in any pain and I also hope that if there is no cure for whatever he has... well, I hope that he goes quickly so that he doesn't have to suffer needlessly.

I think the best argument pro the truthfulness of the 'TSK' picture is that apple still hasn't responded to it.
He already stretched his life far longer then the average person with pancreatic cancer is able to ... I think it's not not him that has to come in peace with his nearing end, but us, the rest of the world.

Looks like TMZ removed the picture. Did anyone notice that? Maybe they found it to be fake?

Dramatic effect. Which gets people looking.

Sure it's not the same as phone hacking, but I definitely wouldn't put it past any news site that gives me a "tabloid" impression to be the types to photoshop-exaggerate someone's condition (at the expense of their dignity, hence somewhat scummy) to get more hits.

Still, if it's true, it's most unfortunate, as by that picture he's not got long at all.

TMZ doesn't have a history of altering photos.

While the story about Jobs was in the top banner for a couple of days, TMZ didn't really promote it beyond that, because most of their regular readers aren't interested one iota about either Apple or Jobs. They are a lot more interested in actors, reality stars, and musicians.

TMZ might have gotten some hits from people who normally don't visit their site, but I doubt that the increase was anything but a blip for them.

Chris Rea is still well alive and kicking and making some excellent music. There are different kinds of pancreatic cancer. And if Apple had responded you would have posted "I think the best argument pro the truthfulness of the 'TSK' picture is that apple felt the need to respond to it".

The best I remember is a photo of a reasonably well-known actress with her newborn baby in her arms, for sale on a magazine cover, a few days before the baby was actually born.

picture has been photochopped, and badly

I like that word.

If Steve Jobs does that for the next thirty years, he will live long.

I think he should have remained CEO for one more year. I love Steve and NEVER want to see him go, but that has happened. In the following year he should have slowly, but more and more faded out of the picture in his keynotes, as what happened at WWDC 2011. He only talked a third of the time and let everyone else get comfortable with the other executives. If he did that for one more year, then the stock wouldn't plummet as much as it will tomorrow. Oh well, I'll miss you Steve. Even though you're still at Apple, it feels as though I've lost a piece of myself.

Hey man, I see that you really like Steve Jobs and I am sure you wish the best for him, but you say what he "should" have done with his remaining years on the planet. I do not have a clue where he is at with his health, but he has(d) a serious illness and who knows how long he may have? So, you would have him stay for another year to see the stock stay strong and not plummet? I think (speculative) he may want to go for some walks, a drive through the Santa Cruz Mountains, get 3 stars on every level of Angry Birds or whatever else he may choose to do with his time. I am sure (speculative) his decision to leave leave as CEO made him really bummed. Perhaps (speculative) he wants to use his medical marijuana card more often (speculative and unsubstantiated) but perspective is a funny thing. So, I hope he enjoys himself with whatever he does and would thank him for creating such a kick ass company and such great products.

Best of health to both of you, peace...

The obvious thought in probably just about anyone when the announcement came that SJ was stepping down was his health. He was on a health related hiatus for a while before the announcement. So who really knows what his health situation really is and who knows for what personal reasons he made his decision. It is my personal feeling that he is really struggling with whatever his present illness is, return of pancreatic cancer, spread of pancreatic cancer, failure of his liver transplant or rejection of the transplanted liver. whether this is ultimately life ending no one can know. However, for him to give up the CEO position which is a physically and mentally demanding position means to me that he did what he felt was best for Apple and not best for SJ and that he could not handle the responsibility to his own standards.

It will be very interesting how his death will affect Apple's policy on
Blu Ray vis a vis the Mac.

Not long to go now I fear

I totally disagree. Why can't his stepping down from a job that is both physically and mentally demanding not be good for him? It would seem to me that it would be the very best thing for him to do. Put all his energies and focus on his health and making sure that the family is taken care of and properly prepared in case the worst does happen. I don't hate Steve Jobs, I may not agree with everything he has done, but I admire the hell out of the guy. But I don't feel the need to make him into some Christ-like figure that doesn't care about himself and only cares about what is best for Apple. Come on people, Steve Jobs is a man. There is no doubt that he is a really brilliant man and that he is an incredible marketing genius. But quit trying to make him into a God. No one deserves that kind of burden! He is a great man, but he is not a God. As far as being chairman of the board is concerned, if these pictures that have been posted are indeed real, then I don't even know if he can be doing that? I don't know. There is one thing I do feel pretty sure about and that is that Apple was his baby. And when he was literally fired by the board... that must have broken his heart. I am glad that he got the chance to vindicate himself and show that idiotic group of board members that they were wrong and that he was right! He knew how to run his baby and they did not. If he had never regained control of Apple or if Apple had gone out of business that would have probably been a wound in his soul that would have never healed. As it is, he was vindicated and showed the entire world that he had been right all along. Except for hiring that idiot from Pepsi. Not many men get the chance to actually do something big enough to have actually changed the world. People all over the world probably know who Steve Jobs is. Not many people ever attain that level of fame. He will be remembered as perhaps the greatest CEO in history. The only part of Steve Jobs that I disliked was his giant ego, but I doubt that there are any really great CEO's who do not have a giant ego?
