It's like folks who collect stamps and coins and Pokemon cards, etc. Different values but same stuff at the end of the day - a waste of money in the eyes of A, but happiness in the eyes of B.

To each their own. I don't see the point of paying for a business card; but in the eyes of collectors - this could be amazing.

What do people do with this stuff? Do they hang it on the wall to show off to guests? Or do they believe it will appreciate in value and sell it in the future?

Huge amount! Not surprised. These collectables often end up going for high prices at the auction.

"Steven" was used for things like legal documents but it's not unusual for someone to publicly use (and be better known by) a nickname instead of their full name e.g., Steve Wozniak instead of Stephen Wozniak, Tim Cook instead of Timothy Cook, Jeff Bezos instead of Jeffrey Bezos, Bill Gates instead of William Gates, etc.
Thanks, make sense. I didn’t know about the others :)

It‘s a piece of history, the stories and the person behind it makes it so valuable. We are going to forget Tim Cook, but not Steve Jobs
