You're right, no wonder it seemed so peaceful these past few months lol.
Personally I am tired of rumors, they're like spoilers in real life.

They take the joy away from being "surprised" at first sight

You're visiting the wrong website then. Until I discovered Macrumors, I had no idea how much Apple even kept people in the dark about future product releases.

I hope Steve invites Eric Smidht onstage to congratulate him on Google TV and then kicks him in the nuts. I'd pay 1600 dollars to see that kind of developer edutainment. ;-)

Apart from the iPhone announcement, there seems to be a distinct lack of rumours about what we could expect this year.

The thought police is out in force, Steve has your number, you know who you are, and soon they will be breaking down your door also. :apple:

Now if they only could get the military under their apple banner they would do a midnight extractions mission to get the guys in vietnam, haha, sound like some future dystopia big corp. runs the world B-Movie.

Except if you breath to hard on steve he go down for the count. Anyway when has Steve been a vindictive, I for one can not think of one time.

I wouldn't be disappointed even if nothing *new* was announced. The only thing I want is a higher resolution screen on iPhone and I think that is almost confirmed.

You're right. But I love technology and I need a community to talk to. I guess that's why I come here regardless.

Having had the good fortune to attend a WWDC in 2008, I can tell you they go all-out on taking care of their guests. Each classroom is lined in power strips tied to the chairs, so everyone can plug in during class. Free soda, coffee, munchies (and not cheap stuff either - all brand-name) is available 24/7 throughout the conference. A good portion of the costs goes back to the people attending, in the form of "comforts" so they can get more out of the classes, rather than being distracted by little things.

WWDC Rumors

It's doubtful that there will be any new AppleTV. In fact, I suspect it goes away altogether. It's lackluster, boring, and just not what the company is in to.

On the good side though, I do suspect completely unlocked iPhones. With it looking more and more like Verizon, and now Sprint, will be added as carriers, the iPhone will have a new round of domination.

OS 10.7 has been kept OFF the radar very well. Makes me think other "leaks" have been planted.

But then again, being told "you won't be disappointed" and it actually happening are two different things.

Apple would be lucky to break even on this thing....

Actually it is an investment for them, better developers mean better apps. Better and more Mac software means more Mac hardware sales, and 30% of every iphone and ipad app isn't a bad take for them either.

"WWDC 2010 gives an incredibly diverse community the opportunity to connect with thousands of fellow iPhone, iPad and Mac developers from around the world."

pecking order:

iPhone, iPad and then Mac

He might be skinny, but i reckon he'd be a wiry quick little fighter, before you know it, kapow in the happy sack. Smidht'll fold like everyone else.

In terms of vindicativeness, have you ever met anyone that's crossed him?

The violence is my little fantasy, the bile and burning hatred that's Steve to a T :D.

I didn't see that coming

But where is the WWDC taking place, i dont know if its 10:00 am PST or EST

Unless they are introducing an SDK for it, in which case it's the perfect venue to launch an iPhone OS based AppleTV. :)

brand name soda! WOW! :D

how about an open bar? that would be awesome.

I doubt Apple cares **** all about this. The revenue they make from people buying their products due to this event more then makes up for it.

Huh? Of course Apple doesn't care or they wouldn't be sponsoring it. I'll file your comment under D for DUH!

P.S. Note I never remarked on whether Apple cared one way or the other, only that Apple probably isn't making a profit on the even despite the ticket price and associated revenue. Some people see $8m in rev & think Apple is cleaning up. Just shows there lack of understanding of what a conference like this costs.
