And this is based on? If that's the case one hopes (but never expects) that Apple will hint that something is on the horizon.
Maybe Apple will announce that MobileMe is going to be free.
Unfortunately, it's based on information close to home.

This year, the ONLY thing that I REALLY REALLY want is a 64GB iPhone, which will be the only source of potential disappointment for me. As such, I'm SURE that Apple will not offer one this year.
Tony
Yeah, I've got a feeling that they finally let the whole iPhone leak get out and stopped trying to cover it, because by now it's completely expected what you're going to get out of the iPhone... So there must be something bigger! More than just an iPhone 4G release!
Prepare to be surprised. 64GB iphone is a certainty.
When people complain or comment on Apple, it is usually based on their own, individual, self-centered needs and desires, so here's mine! Phones don't get me excited, computers do!
I would love to see Steve Jobs towards the end of the keynote say: "And one more thing!".
Then he announces a small, mini-tower sized device that is basically like an iMac without the monitor, available with i5 or i7 CPU's! And it will retail for under 1k!
Then after that, Steve Jobs will announce the return of a special, limited edition, black Macbook pro!

Your life must be one disappointment after another. You really think there is ever a chance Apple will ever make a mini-tower from this point on going forward?
Having had the good fortune to attend a WWDC in 2008, I can tell you they go all-out on taking care of their guests. Each classroom is lined in power strips tied to the chairs, so everyone can plug in during class. Free soda, coffee, munchies (and not cheap stuff either - all brand-name) is available 24/7 throughout the conference. A good portion of the costs goes back to the people attending, in the form of "comforts" so they can get more out of the classes, rather than being distracted by little things.
They will 100% surely announce the new iPhone on June 7, but most likely it won't actually be sellng until Friday June 11 at the EARLIEST, but more likely either June 18 or June 25. Fridays at 5 PM have been the release times that Apple has used in the recent past.
Tony
I thought it was usually Saturday mornings? I haven't waited in line before for a new release, but I am planning to for the new iPhone. Anybody know?

I hope you are right, but with 64GB NAND flash modules still retailing at about $250, I can't see how Apple could afford to put it in the iPhone, even if they get it for half of that. Knowing Apple, they is no way that they want to stray from their current price points, nor do they want to make the iPhone thicker to accomodate 2 flash slots.
As for how I can use it, well, my audio library is 90GB+ and my movie / TV show library is about the same. I have about 10GB of applications as well.I HATE having to manage through that, and 64GB plus the 128 kbps on the fly conversion will finanally at least let me put my entire audio library as well as all of my apps on my iPhone at once, and stilll leave a little room for video.
Tony
The 64GB itouch retails for $100 more than the 32GB version. Apple's actual cost on that additional 32GB of modules is probably <$50 (given their insane margins). i.e. the real cost to Apple for a 64GB iphone should be no more than $50 and to the customer will be no more than $100 extra.
I'm quite confident you will get your 64GB iphone this June.![]()
The answer seems obvious...The price of the 64GB Touch is irrelevant here. The iPhone only has ONE flash memory slot -the Touch has TWO. There is a HUGE price difference between the readily available 32GB NAND flash modules (of which the 64GB touch has two) and the very difficult to find and just released 64GB NAND flash modules - the 64GB modules are like 4+ times the cost of the 32GB modules right now. The price of putting a single 64GB module into the iPhone is probably double or more than the TOTAL of the two 32GB modules in the Touch.
I'm still wishing, but I don't see how it could happen unless Apple had a special early on pre-arrangement with Toshiba that fixed a low price for future delivery, which I'm not sure would even be legal, and thus doubtful.
Tony
You're right, no wonder it seemed so peaceful these past few months lol.
Personally I am tired of rumors, they're like spoilers in real life.
They take the joy away from being "surprised" at first sight
The answer seems obvious...
Apple will use two 32GB modules like the iTouch - - it's part of the redesign.
Well, the prototype only had only ONE flash slot. It would have to be THICKER to fit a second slot. There is NO WAY that Apple makes the iPhone thicker. I wouldn't MIND them doing that, but they will not - guaranteed.
Tony
And yet the iPod Touch is thinner than the iPhone - - could it be that the prototype was not the finished design?
