Surprised it's so close, I thought everyone jailbroke their phones on MacRumors...

I've been stock since my iPhone, haven't felt the need to do anything more.

Stock iPhone 4 32GB. The phone does what I want it to so I have no reason to mess about with it. I'm liking battery life and everything as is.

JB 32gb iPhone 4 here. :D

MyWi, SBSettings a decent messages app and a few other things are what prompted me. Just makes the device so much more usable.

Stock. What's the point of jailbreaking again? So that I can customize my home screen in such a way that actually makes it uglier and less intuitive?

If that's what you want to do, sure you can do that (Though I'm not sure why you'd want to make your phone uglier. You must like ugly things)

I can turn off wifi and bluetooth, or change the brightness at any time without going into the settings app, I can make a facetime call over 3G, and I can quickly check the weather and mail without unlocking my phone. Who would ever want to add extra functionality to their phone?

Ran JB on my 3G prior to getting the i4. I'm running stock for now as I just don't really feel like I'm missing all that much atm.

You guys running JB on your i4's notice any speed/stability effects vs stock?

Anyone here tether with their current unlimited plan (plan w/o tethering) on a JB iPhone?

I do every day at work for 5+/- hours a day. I have used as much as 6GB in one month without issue. I have been doing this for a year or so.

Been jailbreaking iphone's since 2G/3G/3GS and now my iP4 :) I'm pretty surprised there are less people with jailbroken phones in the poll.

I haven't noticed anything different with mine. I'm not running too many things though. Winterboard, Lockinfo, and SBSettings.

Multitasking, Facetime, MMS, battery life, etc all working as normal.

Jailbroken 32GB iPhone 4 v.4.0.0

That's awesome! Where can I find that?

After 3 years and 3 iPhones, I jailbroke my 4 for one reason: I'm sick and tired of the same 6 SMS alerts and ONE email alert. It's complete and utter ******** and I refuse to be a slave to Apple's Pavlovian marketing ploy. I mean 3 years, same tones?! Why?! What are they thinking?! I just can't think of a way to justify it without painting Apple as an evil company.

After jailbreaking, I realized that there's also quite a few other compelling reasons, AND my phone is just as wonderful and stable as before. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Jailbroken iPhone 4 16 GB, before that I was using a jailbroken iPhone 3G 16 GB.

While I don't think that jailbreaking is quite as beneficial as it used to be on older models (and before iOS 4), SBSettings is still nice. The biggest reason I jailbreak is to augment features that Apple has yet to put into iOS that I would like such as the ability to reply to an SMS without leaving the app I'm in, or the ability to delete specific calls from my recent call history.

Stock iPhone 4 16GB. I see no reason to JB unless you want to break the law by downloading apps which are against your service providers T&C such as MyWi, or if you want to download chargeable apps for free.

SBSettings
iBlacklist
SMS QuickReply
Recent Call Delete
qTweeter
GV Mobile
ParkMe

Care to tell me how these apps break my service provider's T&C or how I'm ripping off honest developers and pirating apps from them?

Additionally, while MyWi may be against my T&C, I don't use tethering enough to pay $20 every month for it, and I would lose my grandfathered unlimited plan if I did AT&T's official tethering.

I've also used some of the "piracy" applications in order to downgrade applications that I've purchased that did not work properly after updating.

It's insanely hilarious how people equate jail breaking with pirating apps.
It seems Apple and the press have done a good job brainwashing people into believing these two things are the same.

I've jailbroken all my iPhones and I do not install pirated apps.
Just like DirtySocks85 said I jailbreak to augment the features apple
has so nicely said I don't need such as SBsettings, five icon dock, etc.

Jailbreaking is about customizing your phone not about pirating apps.

I can not believe how close it is for all those who voted, I thought there would have been a lot more JB then Stock.

It will be interesting to see after eveyone votes where this finished up at?

I've jailbroken all 4 iPhones. From September 07 on, if there was a jailbreak released, i've been jailbroken. I'll jailbreak up until iPhone 150 if i can. :D
