Jailbroke my iPhone 4 but noticed battery life was horrendous.

Now back to 4.02 and lasts 2 days without a charge

My JB phone goes two days easily... I haven't charged in 48 hours and I'm still at 28% battery... JB doesn't at all hider battery life as long as you're smart about it (video wallpapers and backgrounding every app is obviously going to dampen battery life).

I did notice, however, the first two charge cycles after Jailbreaking were a little accelerated, but it has since evened out.

Stock iPhone 4 16GB. I see no reason to JB unless you want to break the law by downloading apps which are against your service providers T&C such as MyWi, or if you want to download chargeable apps for free.

It is NOT breaking the law to download MyWi or Bitesms. It is MY damn phone. I dont pirate, I pay for all my apps.

Furthermore, I get to put unlimited apps in the stock Apple folders, no need to have 2 game folders taking up space anymore (thanks to Infinifolders), I can watch Anime on Crunchyroll app whereever I am thanks to My3g (normally you would need wifi to watch any of their videos), can make facetime calls anywhere (also thanks to My3g), etc. etc.

And MyWi saved my life when I went on vacation, was using my laptop in my hotel everyday with tethering. I honestly dont use it much, as I have internet at home and work, but its one of those things that is nice to have when you need it. Sorry if people consider that as immoral for breaking ATT's terms of service, but what they want to charge just to tether is ridiculous.

Well said.

I resisted JBing my phone up until 2 days ago. Figured really the only reason i'd do it was for MyWi, but wouldn't really use it enough to put up with the hassle/risk etc.

2 days ago my wife and I are traveling and she needed a wifi hookup to upload some work documents. ended up being a real pain to find one, and i could have been set with a jailbroken iphone. so went ahead and did it later that evening. Was super easy. Now i'm sorry i didn't do it sooner. Have MyWi plus 3G unrestrictor. With those 2 apps and SBS settings i couldn't be happier. Phone still as fast as before and no change to battery life (keep it plugged in if you use MyWi). I highly doubt i'll download anything else from Cydia or Rock...good to go with what i have and don't care about themes or any of that kind of stuff. May download a flash player if they ever come up with a good one eventually but that'd be it.

Still can not believe we are almost 50/50, I thought for sure there would be more JB then stock.

Interesting results so far.
