Hi all,
I've enjoyed reading MacRumors for about ten years but this problem has led me to actually join the forums.
As the title says, I've got a M2 iPad Pro (11 inch, WiFi), and it has a weird battery drain problem. It loses between 1-3% per hour on standby. I have AppleCare+ for it, and have been communicating with Apple for nearly a month at this point. I tried erasing it and starting from scratch, the problem remains. Frustratingly, it sails through diagnostic tests. It apparently has 88% battery capacity, and I've had to do several tests running down the battery.
I've tried it on low power mode as well as airplane mode, I still have the same issue. I've never had an apple device that would lose its power so quickly. I also was asked to do a video playback test, playing Ted Lasso on 50% brightness it only lasted 6:41, which seems pretty far below the advertised 10 hours.
I don't seem to be getting anywhere with Apple Support on this issue. I feel like there must be something wrong with the iPad itself, but I'm at a loss as to what to do? Has anyone else had this problem?
