Umm, so? Who said you had to use the feature? THAT was his point.
You guys do realize that this is an AMERICAN company right? Sure they sell internationally and they are trying and have a pretty, I think, significant international database. But at the end of the day this is "Apple Designed in California" first and foremost.
I havnt read trough the whole thread but those who are complaining about the street veiw for internainal users that's up to google![]()
Nope...it's Apple that decides if an app or software mod is approved or not. Once again, Apple didn't consider their international users.
No the point was that it's wasting our phone's resources, and it's something that has no functionality to us (ie everyone but Americans living in the United States).
It would be like changing the Weather App to show all this other data (and therefore increasing the complexity of the API, and the length of the code, and how they tax the resources of the phone) - but that is only relevant for people living in Holland.
How would you feel about that? I bet Americans would be pretty irritated. Kind of like I am with the Street View. Do you understand now?
I would have no problem with Street View if it served everyone to some degree or another, but until it does it was, quite frankly, a dick move to put it in a mandatory update.
Now all I need is this: someone to explain to me what the hell Street View is good for.
I understand what it does, I just don't get why it useful. Not even Google can explain that to me.
I know what you mean. I wish they would remove all that international crap from my phone. They must be having some negative effects, even though I can't prove it.No the point was that it's wasting our phone's resources, and it's something that has no functionality to us (ie everyone but Americans living in the United States).
