When I ordered my iPad last month, it sat in Alaska for a few hours, cleared international shipment at 11:23 am and was delivered to my house by 10:23am the next day. I live in Central CA.

As I recall, there was little updating to the fedex tracking between "internaltion clearance" and "out for delivery". There were about 7 update lines that came all at once in the morning of delivery

btw, the ipad departed Alaska at 4:52pm in case you were wondering. So I think CA people are still ok for a few more hours of sitting in Alaska and still making it tomorrow

Well to compare, 1 of my phones is in NJ already so it had this time table with respect to Int'l shipment...

Jun 22, 2010 2:38 AM Arrived at FedEx location NEWARK, NJ

Jun 21, 2010 4:11 PM Departed FedEx location ANCHORAGE, AK

Jun 21, 2010 11:52 AM Int'l shipment release ANCHORAGE, AK

So it appears that there is a 4:00pm flight from AK and that should get this latest phone to the east coast by 2:30a.m. So tomorrow may still happen.

Mine has the exact same timetable. It should be no problem for them to get it to my house by tomorrow from Newark (not that far), but it still says Jun 24th. Who knows what will happen.

Guys, I don't think that simpletracking.com is accurate. There's no way(that I know of) that it would know where your package is other than what FedEx tells them. Also, it doesn't look like the site has been updated since 2008.

Also, it looks like FDX94 should be able to get these to Memphis.

Yeah, someone on one of the other message boards I'm looking at actually doesn't show their package as far along as Fedex.com does, yet mine is further.

However, it makes no sense that it has taken that flight or whatever it was 24hours+ to get from AK to anywhere in the US.

It should be pulling the raw data from FedEx's servers, that's why it has more info. Not sure why FedEx's own site doesn't display that info though. There's another site, that I can't remember right now, that is similar. When I was waiting for my iPad, UPS said it was still sitting in Alaska, but the other site said it was out for delivery and then it showed up a couple hours later.

Nice to see some MN people in here. I'm from Farmington MN, but I attend the University of Minnesota. My fedex status just changed from Alaska to KY to IN. The KY showed up with the IN one even though they happened at completely different times. Hang in there! It will change.. Eventually :)

No joke from farming hu? My wife is from there. You probably don't know them but they were/are a hockey family... the Heglands. Off Upper 182nd and Pilot Knob.

Looks like FDX94 is pretty consistent in getting to Memphis around Midnight. Seems like more than enough time to fly my phone down to NOLA.

mine on simpletracking.com says its still in HK....fedex's site says it left AK....

I'm just glad there appears to be actual progress. No matter what happens, I consider myself very fortunate. Last Tuesday I couldn't get my pre-order in until around 10 p.m., and my original confirmation email said shipping by July 2. Then the shipping email arrived -- and lo and behold, I was back to June 23 or 24. If I actually do get my phone tomorrow I'll consider it genuinely miraculous. :)

I'm in Minneapolis, Nordeast and glued to my MacBook.

FedEx's website says
Jun 22, 2010 4:12 PM
Departed FedEx location
INDIANAPOLIS, IN

My iPhone app Tracker Lite says this
Departed FedEx Location
Indianapolis, IN
06/21/10 04:20 pm: Departed FedEx Location
Package update on 06/21/10 04:20 pm

NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON with two different dates of departure????

Did you guys order the 16 or 32?

6 people I know in my area ordered the 16 and they're in Memphis. I ordered the 32, and alas I'm the only one in Alaska...

two 32s both still in alaska.... i just picture them all alone... just the two of them.... hugging..... in that godforsaken state... shivering.... cold..... wanting to be in sunny socal where they belong..... *sigh*

If this is the case, then why does mine show this?

My tracking updated at 3:53 EDT on FedEx's website with "Int'l Shipment Release" in Anchorage, Alaska. I would think that this website would be ahead of FedEx, not behind them, if they were pulling directly form their servers.

My status just updated to say "International Shipping Release" after being in AK for about 12 hours. I'm hopeful that it will still be delivered tomorrow.
