Stuck in Alaska?

My tracking updated at 3:53 EDT on FedEx's website with "Int'l Shipment Release" in Anchorage, Alaska. I would think that this website would be ahead of FedEx, not behind them, if they were pulling directly form their servers.

:p Mine's coming to socal too! Ditto, probably waiting for the same flight to make it down to sunny socal!

So they are theoretically in Indy now? I wonder, since the plane got diverted, if that is why there hasn't been any update to the tracking.

Ahhhh yes, I remember seeing that earlier today. I guess there's still hope for us ;)

Ahhhh gotcha. These multiple time zones are throwing me off. Looks like it. It's been pretty consistent on leaving at the same time too.

Well, according to FedEx ( I called them earlier this afternoon), the information they have says my phone was in Indy from all that they could see in their system (even tho it isn't showing this on the tracker page). The rep assured me my phone would be delivered tomorrow.
 
My status is: Int'l shipment release
I called Fedex and was told it still hasn't cleared customs yet. FML... :(
 
I'm really praying that there is a plane coming to los angeles from AK for us so cal people. It really bothers me its been sitting in the same place 1.5 days+ :(

Does yours show est delivery for the 23 or 24?

Being bored and being a google fanatic, I found this interesting blurb from someone discussing their iPad on the Apple message boards:

Ordered 64GB 3G Ipad on May 4.

The times are eerily similar to the time-frame available for us(Almost Identical even). Completely enabling a 10:30am delivery if you are in the Triangle area (which I am).
 
To everyone wondering why their phone sat in AK for a day then got released, you have to remember, the people who got released yesterday had an extra day of "In Transit" before us in Hong Kong (remember all the posts about the phones keeping each other company etc on the Island). Theirs could have been sitting in AK for a day before release as well and just not showing up as arrived and ready for clearnace like ours did in the interim.

When you track it on FedEx.com what is the delivery date? I'm in downtown KC and mine shows Thursday.

Umm that one is 2 days after Intl Shipment release, not the next day :(

So from what your showing above then we won't get our iphone tomorrow on June 23rd, it will be here June 24th. From the ipad shipping information above it took 2 more days to get to RDU after intl shipment release.
 
So, I called Fedex take it for whatever it's worth. The guy said that Fedex asked Apple to stop orders so they can catch up. He stated, "This release has been hard for us. We have so many boxes waiting to get shipped out of AK. It's going to take us some time to catch up." He went on to say that,”.. for my case they have an air container with other people in Los Angeles and it's just waiting for its plane to arrive and we already cleared customs.” Now I want to find this "plane" this guy stated. :eek:

But that was 1.5 hours before departure. The iPhone (at least mine) is 2.33 hours before flight time. Let's hope those extra 50 minutes make a difference.
 
mine says the 24th also, and the FX rep said the 24th as well. However the magical mystery email said the 23rd, and status would be corrected the morning of the 23rd. So who knows.
