Stuck in Alaska?

May 14 3:39 PM Departed Fedex location

we shall compare that to the departure of FDX94 today 6/22@3:16pm Alaska Time (7:16pm EDT)

then, May 15 12:43 AM Arrived at Fedex location Memphis, TN

which would be close to the expected arrival of FDX94 6/23@12:04am

leading to its departure May 15 4:04 AM Departed Fedex location Memphis, TN

Which is actually a fairly long time to depart of 4 hours, but it was a friday night.

Which would put the packages leaving Memphis, according to this template, by 4am on 6/23 and arriving at RDU and the sorting facility by 6:30am giving a 4 hour window to get loaded onto a truck and out and delivered by 10:30am WEDNESDAY 6/23. Tomorrow, not Thursday.

Just noticed that they held the iPad for another day after international release, but, it was the weekend. (I guess, I hope.....)

I have a feeling that we should just chill and I think that FedEx will deliver when FedEx says it will deliver. I live in the Boston area and my tracking info says that it will deliver on the 23rd before 10:30 AM. It has also been stuck in Alaska since yesterday and its status just moved to "Int'l shipment release" at 11:53 AM Anchorage time today. I am still quite hopeful that tomorrow morning it will say that it is on the truck for delivery.

J/K I didn't even catch that day in between int'l shipment/departed date. Thanks for pointing this out, still gives us some hope.

These wild mood swings are just insane.

Mine shows Thursday, but the FedEx agent confirmed Wed., and that conincides with the email I got from Apple this morning.

I think what is happening is the delivery date on the FedEx tracker page won't reflect 6/23 UNTIL it refreshes with more current information.

Even though I know my phone is somewhere between Indy and the KC area, that info has not yet been updated on my FedEx tracker page.
 
Mine just left Memphis. Should be here tomorrow.

Yes it was, I live in GA so I suppose they sent mine there, It took about 24 hours for an update from departed to INDY

Well I was in the same boat as you but mine STILL says departed Alaska! lol I don't know if it will make it in time.

I have talked to three reps and they all say Thursday and I say "well I got an email saying tomorrow" and they say well I guess we will see. LOL

Mine says the same thing now... That was as of 11:53 AM... Idk if mine is going to make it to the east coast by tomorrow morning and go "out for delivery" even though Apple did email and say it would be! Only time will tell...

I was worried about the same thing and talked to the FedEx person when I called this morning. He said it had plenty of time to make it from AK to Austin, TX.

No need to worry, if it says tomorrow it should be tomorrow.

Yeah I'm sure Apple is involved with the shipping logistics. I'd take Apple's word over a Customer service rep.
 
Some of you are acting as if a flight from Alaska takes like a week, at most its a 7hr flight, and it's like 6pm on the east coast, they could leave at midnight EST and get to NY at 7am and get to yoru door in 3hrs, sheesh peopel. Im just as anxious as all fo you but flying things places is a quick process, especially when fedex is behind it all!
 
Update on my status. Series went like this:

Was one of the "stuck" ones that "Departed" AK at 3:20p yesterday.
Then "Departed" Indy at 3:30p today (with no arrival shown there)
**interesting addition here. Checking simpletracking.com shows that it stopped off in Louisville yesterday at 1:25a yesterday, before Indy but FexEx doesn't show that stopover at all***

Now it shows "At Dest Sort Facility" in Erlanger, KY which is 20 minutes from my house and where the delivery trucks for this area pick up all their packages. Still shows 24th delivery but I'm expecting it to be out for delivery tomorrow (that is if I believe the email Apple sent last night).

I wish you were right. I'm in Duluth,MN and what I see happening is whenever it leaves alaska it'll go to memphis? Then to Minneapolis, then ever package I've ever had is then trucked up to Duluth which usually takes the trucks 4-5 hours, then put on a delivery truck. I know Fedex at first said 23rd, then moved me to the 24th, but Apple continues to say 23rd ( with email this morning) but I'll believe it when I see it. I'm going to have to deal with 2 days of eternity waiting! 1st iPhone so I'm excited. World Cup will have to hold me over.
 
My order went though first, but it's still in Alaska. My wife's just left Oakland. Guess we'll see tomorrow morning..

I'm in the exact same boat. My order went through around 1:00 PM CDT and my wife's went through around 3:00 CDT. Mine just changed to "Int'l shipment release" in AK today and hers departed Memphis earlier this afternoon.

Here's hoping the 6/23 date in the e-mail is still true for both of us...

Mine left at 320 too!! but I still don't have any further info. So you are saying for sure that it DID make it to Indy?? Thanks for the info.
 
There are a bunch of flights out of anchorage this afternoon. FDX9168, FDX76, fdx94 and fdx26 all to memphis, fdx14 to indy is what i saw at a glance, lots to watch I suspect

ok sorry for the double post, but I just checked simpletracking too. It says it is STILL in louisville. When did yours leave louisville?
