How is this different than prostitution?
"The student who has a degree in Women's Studies insisted she was not demeaning herself."
it's up to around $4 million now..
She better make that sex AMAZING for 4 million. I wouldn't pay that for sex with an un-experienced virgin. *yawn*
How is this possibly legal? My god, I've heard some weird things before, but this takes it. Not only is this most likely illegal, but it's also extremely dangerous.
this is so lame.
Hmmmm......OK, fine, but I'm not leaving a tip.
Will she trade me for mine???
She's cute and all, but that's a lot of money! Zoinks! I'm sure the high bidder is Nigerian and will give her a check as soon as his family's money is released by the regime that seized power unlawfully and has....
well apparently she got the idea from her sister who was a prostitute for 3 weeks and made enough to pay for her master's (fact is in the article)
What a slut...
Hmmm, I wonder how much I would get for mine. Break-even at best I bet.
Zero points for originality. Been done before...
Um, how do we know she's a virgin?
As Bob Dylan once whined, 'the times, they are a-changing.' Nowadays people who don't have sex by the time they're 22 tend to have religious beliefs that prohibit it. Clearly she doesn't as she is opening herself up to banging a bidder. (new eBay slogan?)
I would poke her if I had the chance, but pay that amount of money? I'm sorry, I'd be expecting to poke Jennifer Aniston for that kind of cabbage.
EDIT: I don't understand why she's so desperate to pay for her MSc, it's not even a real discipline. I can't prostitute myself to pay for my degree in economics. Christ knows we need more economists than family therapists given the times.
It isn't. That's what it is. In many places, that's not illegal, in particular the legal brothel in Nevada where the final 'transaction' will take place.
Originality? Of course not, she's just taking part in the longest running industry in human history.
Good luck to her.
And that episode was discussed on MR too... here
Woof, Woof Dawg
She's not even that attractive. Certainly not £2.5m attractive!
C'mon, realistically, is there actually somebody that is?
Woof, Woof Dawg
I wouldn't pay £2.5mil for sex with Britney Spears.
Seriously there are prostitutes that are hotter than her going for what, £200 (that's a complete guess, I have no idea what a prostitute costs nor do I intend on finding out), and I would call that expensive just for sex.
This though, ain't it.
Well no but if i had £2.5m and nothing to do with it I might consider it if she was say Jessica Alba hot, but not when she's not as attractive as my current girlfriend (and I'm not saying that cos she's my gf, i'm saying it cos she just is prettier regardless)
The article said she'd be willing to take medical tests to verify.
Really? good I'll talk to my employer about a pay raise... on the other hand a lot of Financial Institutions aren't in hiring moods...
Getting back to topic, the economist in me wonders if we can model the point where the auction no longer "takes advantage" of this young woman, and starts taking advantage of the bidder.
