Hi everyone,
I’m the developer of SudokuVerse – Sudoku Universe and I’ve just released a fairly large update. I wanted to share it here and get some feedback, especially from people who enjoy more minimal, distraction-free apps.
The idea behind SudokuVerse was to create a calm Sudoku experience that works completely offline and avoids ads, accounts or any kind of tracking. With this update I focused mainly on expanding the gameplay and improving the overall usability rather than adding complexity.
The app now includes several variants like Killer Sudoku, X-Sudoku, Hyper Sudoku, Even/Odd and Color Sudoku in addition to the classic mode. Each of them changes the way you approach solving the puzzle, but still keeps the core logic intact.
One thing that’s a bit different: the interface is built almost entirely around symbols instead of text. You can also play with emojis instead of numbers. The goal was to make the app feel more visual and usable without relying on language.
I’ve also refined parts of the UI and interaction to keep everything as clean and focused as possible. No timers, no pressure, just solving at your own pace.
If anyone here has a chance to try it, I’d really appreciate any feedback — especially on the variants and the symbol-based UI. Curious if this approach actually feels better or just different.
