On 4/27, I ordered a Sports Edition Space Gray 42mm with Black Sports Band. This morning, I was charged, and my order status changed to Preparing for Shipment, even though it had originally said available to ship in June. This was placed in Texas, and shipping to Texas. Did I somehow get very lucky, or is everyone experiencing huge differences in when they thought they would get theirs?

#1 policy at Apple for timing of delivery or repair has always been Under-promise Over-deliver. This was in the event they meet the estimated time frame they don't look bad, and when they get it to you sooner, then you are happy about it. It's part of the company culture. Now obviously some people are probably reporting that they are getting their product beyond their original order window, and while this may or may not be true, it probably isn't very common.
This is exactly why so many people are furious at the out-of-order shipping from Apple. Please post a screenshot.
Thanks for posting the screenshot. This is outrageous that Apple has shipped your order with an order date far later than many others who are still waiting for the elusive 42mm space grey sport.
I completely understand. I'd be pissed if it wasn't me, and honestly slightly perturbed. Ordered it thinking I wouldn't have to pay anything until June, so I'm having to juggle stuff around, but I know I got lucky getting it this soon and shouldn't complain.
I'd be mad for sure if it was someone else getting it earlier. One of our neighbors ordered a SS on the 10th and it's just now on the truck for delivery today. Somewhere up above Steve Jobs is looking out for me, I suppose.
If you are tight for cash right now and were expecting to wait till june, i will buy this one off you for extra $50 if you overnight it to me. You can then go ahead and reorder yours and wait till June.

It is. No one more shocked than me. Posted 'cause was curious if it was a big surge in production and shipments, or if mine somehow just got lucky.

If it comes down to it and I have to juggle things around, I might consider selling, but likely for the average going rate on eBay ATM.
