I've used t-mo, att and verizon here in the la/oc region. From my experience verizon and att have basically the same good coverage everywhere. Few noticeable exceptions are right on the beach-ocean were verizon is stronger and sometimes in very hilly areas one carrier is strong but on the flat la basin verizon and att are basically identical. Overall t-mo has slightly worse coverage and if you ever get out of the major city it falls off a cliff.

I've been looking into switching to the more everything plan with Verizon so that we can have tethering, and 10GB of shared data vs. individual 2GB caps. Thought it would be cheaper, but no. Our current bill is like $250 plus taxes and fees which makes it like $283. More everything is $270 with same fees, so it will be even MORE money. I just can't win with Verizon can I? There are no favorable features, and just freaking enormous bills. Hate this carrier so much. No other choices where I am, though.

Not in my experience. T-Mobile has been great from Malibu to San Diego.

Out of curiosity, how does it all break out as far as fees per plan, per line, per feature? Any of the phones that are out of contract (or on Edge) perhaps?
