In regard to my nonfunctioning buttons switcheasy emailed me and said I'm putting it on wrong.

heh...sorry, but that made me laugh.

looks like mine arrived at the house today without ever receiving a shipping email....scared to face it when i get home...

I just want someone to post a picture of this not-so-transparent UltraBlack back.
Sorry man. Already took mine off or I would have. Afraid to put it back on for fear of scratching the sides. It's basically just solid black. Definitely shiny, not matte at all. If you hold it DIRECTLY under a bright light, you can see the Apple logo, but barely.

got my iPhone today, the buttons don't work and it has scratched the sides of my phone. So i have snapped the button covers off and requested a full refund and ordered the TONES case. Hopefully that will arrive soon.

Trying to get this case off my phone without scratching it is impossible.
Stay away from this case.

You have to ship back the case if you want a refund. That's what I did and I got my refund a day after they received it.

I said in the email I would send it back to them, problem is I already put the screen protector on before I used the case so will this matter?

Here ya go. This shot in direct sunlight shows it as "transparent" as it gets. In normal indoor lighting, it's effectively opaque.

The thin strip of plastic between the power button cover and the front edge has already broken after less than a week of completely normal use and only taking it out of the case a couple times. Putting it on and taking it off is definitely cringe-worthy as you hear it scrape against the anodized metal, though it hasn't actually caused any damage. With the other problems I've read people having with this case, I definitely can't recommend it.

Nude black is TERRIBLE!

Can hardly see through back even though it is called "nude".

The screen protector is of poor quality lifting from the edges.

Plastic is cheap and looks cheap.

I'm done with this company.

I finally recieved my UltraBlack and have been using it for a few days. The volume buttons have not been an issue but I do have two complains: The back is fingerprint magnet and for some reason the case gets loose around the edges, it doesn't have a tight fit at all. The case isn't perfect but it'll do for now. I'm thinking of getting the Incase Snap.

I've also just received my Switcheasy Nude (black version) for my iPhone 5 and have few issues with it:

I will also agree that the back IS a fingerprint magnet.

I also had a few issue with one of the volume buttons on the case refusig to work - seemed like it was stuck down a little so had to pick at it to get it to work.

One other issue I am finding is this - I am no sure if the case is actually on the phone correctly?! To explain - with the case off the phone, on the inside along the left inner edge and the right inner edge, there is some kind of lip.

Is this lip supposed to fit over the shamffered edge of the iPhone 5 because currently, mine is just resting against the sides of the phone?! I can't get it to actually clip over the shamffered edge? Not really sure if this lip is designed to lift over the shamffered edge or just rest against the sides of the phone?

I also have used the included back protector so could this be another reason why the lip does not lift over the shamffered edges of the phone...?

Can someone who has bought this case let me know how their case is fitting with regards to the shamffered edges?
:confused::confused:

Update after using the case for a few days I hate it.. It's a fingerprint magnet.. It really has a cheap feel to it.. Disappointed ..

Hi !

I read here that some people had issues with this case : volume button problem , iphone that doesn't fit well ... Is it fixed ? Is there a alternative case like the nude from switcheasy : ultra thin , transparent , a case that protects top & bottom ??

Thank you

:(:(

I hope that switcheasy will fix all problems soon , i'd like to order it.

Here is mine that came in today, i just pulled the volume buttons back which loosened them and they are completely fine now...love how slim this case is! :D

I got the white one to use with my white phone and the only thing about it that I like is that the white really matches the white iPhone well and is not so blue white as others. However, that's where the like ends. I think the case is cheaply made, not well designed and will be sending it back. The sides kind of clip on but the top is just kind of hanging out there and not tight to the phone. I much prefer a case that is uniform looking and at least goes around the phone and fits snugly. My overall favorite case for my 4S was a Case Crown Glider. This case was my favorite. It was a very snug fit, and looked like it was part of the phone. It clipped the edge of the phone and didn't go over the screen and didn't interfere with screen protectors. It was minimalist in style and protected my phone when I dropped it a couple of times on pavement. Unfortunately Case Crown doesn't have the same design Giider for the 5. Their new version looks like they took their old cases and added a band of silver along with a new bottom to fit the new 5's. And then the new cases do go over the top of the screen.

Love having a new phone but hate the perfect case search. For me, the InCase Slider is working the best for my needs. That may change once I get my screen protector.

I got this case in clear and I actually love it. I have no problems with the buttons. Only thing I hate is that the back protector makes watermarks and looks ugly through the clear back. Is there a way to fix this?
